I recently discovered the Japanese mascot for the Sega Saturn. Segata Sanshiro (played by the Chuck Norris of Japan) is a badass judo hermit living in the mountains, who trains day and night to hone his body to physical perfection with a giant Sega Saturn and controller. He routinely comes into cities to beat the shit out of people for not playing Saturn (aka. kids playing baseball). He starred in 19 commercials and they were awesome.
