Your Favorite McCoy 'Insult' Said To Spock

Not TO Spock, but ABOUT him:

"That green-blooded sonofabitch. It's his revenge for all those arguments he lost." :guffaw:

From Star Trek IV:

Spock: Forgive me, Doctor. I am receiving a number of distress calls.
McCoy: I don't doubt it.

Star Trek IV:

McCoy: C'mon, Spock, it's me, McCoy. You really have gone where no one's gone before. Don't you have anything to say about it?
Spock: I couldn't begin to discuss the subject without a common frame of reference.
McCoy: You're joking.

Green blooded hobgoblin.:vulcan:

Did original series McCoy ever say that or was that just from Star Trek 2009? Whatever, it's my favorite.

I might be mistaken but I think McCoy called Spock a green-blooded hobgoblin in the Star Trek 25th Anniversary game. Or might've been just pointy-eared hobgoblin...

Spock: Random chance seems to have operated in our favor.
Dr. McCoy: In plain non-Vulcan English, we've been lucky.

His insults always rubbed me the wrong way. In the enlightened 23rd century no one would dare make an insult out of a persons ethnic traits if they were human so why is it ok to do so with a Vulcan. His cracks abouts Spocks ears and blood colour (yes I spell colour with a U I am Canadian) always came across as racists and out of place.

He gave Spock's blood test result as "normal -- if you call that green stuff blood" or something like that, I cant remember exactly. Spock declared back he was "delighted" his blood was not to McCoy liking.

Those two were incredible

I have to agree with this. As I only watched TOS for the first time in my life in the past few months, so naturally you look at this and also at the treatment of women with nowadays eyes.

At least Spock once got the opportunity to say that he never really liked it (who would?)

Still, those were always funny scenes, played well and with great comedy timing!

While this wasn't about Spock but rather about the android in "I, Mudd", I like the scene where McCoy says (pharaphrased) "There is something wrong about a man who never smiles and doesn't talk personal stuff".

This has been said before, but it bears repeating: Spock and McCoy, in spite of their occasional bickering, were genuine friends who liked and respected one another. They could toss insults back and forth without anyone getting their knickers in a twist.

The exchange from "The Naked Time" is:
McCOY: Your pulse is two hundred and forty two, your blood pressure is practically nonexistent -- assuming you call that green stuff in your veins blood.

SPOCK: The readings are perfectly normal for me, Doctor, thank you. And as for my anatomy being different from yours, I am delighted.
Although strictly speaking, McCoy was talking about Spock's physiology, not his anatomy.

Star Trek V
Kirk: Forgive you?! I oughtta knock you on your goddamn ass!
Spock: If you think that will help.
McCoy: You want me to hold him?

and to a lesser extent:

Kirk: Even as I fell, I knew I wouldn't die.
McCoy: Oh, I thought he (Spock) was the only one who was immortal.
