Your favorite black humor on DS9?

In "Civil Defense", a random station crewmember is vaporized by a replicated energy weapon; later, Gul Dukat shows up and casually chats with our heroes (and Garak) while they duck for cover in Ops.
And he even orders the replicator to give him some beverage or other. It vanishes the raygun, produces the drink, then brings back the raygun and resumes shooting.

My favorite moment of the whole episode is when Dukat tries to leave the station.

How about that moment when Garak - frustrated with Dukat's overtures (which Kira failed to notice) - outs the aspirational Cardassian?

In response, Dukat exclaims "Garak!" with the embarrassment of a Victorian lady.

"Where's Commander Sisko? I trust he wasn't vaporized while asking for one of those raktajinos he's so fond of..."

Pure pitch .

Could Weyoun helping Jake to acquire a rare baseball card be considered black humor, if viewed in a wider context? After all, the Vorta does represent aliens who are bent on galactic conquest.

100%. Jake and Nog literally on the eve of battle (In The Cards was the ep before Call To Arms and the Dominion War launching) end the episode by trying to convince the leader of the enemy side that Willie Mays was a time traveller and they're investigating. Absolutely dark comedy - a funny moment, with a heartfelt hug from Ben to Jake - and BOOM, that's how the episode ends then we're at war the next week.

Whoa. I did not realize (remember) that the war kicked off next episode. "In The Cards" is blacker than I thought.

There is something darkly comical about correctly predicting that the Evil Empire would have a championship winning season before the end of the 20th Century that would still hold up among the greatest single seasons for a team in baseball history, literal decades, and fictional centuries later.

Just a year off though, but DAMN! 😬👀
