What do you have and why do you like it/them?
I have a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis LS that I bought for $1500 back in June. It had 85,000 on the odometer. We have since put 3,000 miles on it. The dealer near Philly that I bought it from had said that the air conditioning blew ice cold and it doesn't, but there was an unforeseen compensation for that. An unknown previous owner had stashed a bag of coins bought from a coin dealer behind the spare tire and forgotten about it. The dealer did not look over the car well enough to find the bag. Two of the coins included are a 1794 starred reverse large cent and a 1799 large cent with the 9 over the 8. I have been trying to sell those, but so far haven't found the right person, because the condition of both is in the AG to G grade.
Anyhow, this car has given us no problems whatsoever in those 3,000 miles. It drives like new and the engine and transmission have been flawless. It's been a real workhorse, hauling us and a carload of possessions through 5 states and back with no complaints. Hill-climbing power has been very good, even loaded down. Fuel economy has been 20mpg or better. In my opinion, you just can't beat the good old reliable 302 Windsor pushrod V8 and these ancient 'Panther' platform body on frame sedans.
My family has had these type of cars with that engine since 1971, when we had a 1968 Custom (stripped down version of the Galaxie) with the carbureted 302.
Egad....this car is the same color scheme as ours!:
