Does the book come with a spotlight to obscure most of the text?

As much as there is so much information on the web, i really do prefer books that i can hold in my hand. I like to have them handy when i am watching a show. I'm old fashioned that way.

Any book about TREK XI would have to come equipped with little LED lights that blast flare in your eyes every time to progress to the next section/chapter.

I checked the bookstore and there were books on the making of Transformers 2, Terminator and other summer hits. Why is Star Trek taking so long? I hope there are tons of pictures. Amazon.com has no details yet.

Awesome news!!

Although I hope it's more than just a "concept art" book and more of a general Behind the Scenes. The books that are nothing but a bunch of concept paintings don't do much for me-- it's the final product I'm interested in (the finished sets, props, ships, etc).

There'll also be the Haynes Manual for the Enterprise, due out next year.

That is such a cool idea! I'll be getting one of those

That never surprises me anymore. So much merchandise over the years comes out AFTER a film or television show debuts that short of said project being a STAR WARS movie I don't expect to see reams of product all over the place when something premieres.

That is cool a book! I will deifentaly be buying the book if I see it in book stores! Looks like I will have to go to the book store that week of the release of the movie to dvd. I will probley go on my day off and go and see if they have it. Or I wonder if it be better to pre-order it to be on the safe side. Do you know what site I can go to pre-order the book?

Agreed on Amazon. Frankly, I rarely see new books I want anywhere else.
