i know this might sound stupid but i've found a video on you tube that i like and was wondering can it be downlaoded onto a pc and if so how do i do so? do i need to sign up or do i need special software?

Or just copy cached video file from your temp files ( it will have the last digits of the youtube url in its name) to somewhere on your computer then rename the file to whatever you want but make sure it ends with .flv. Then you will need a player that plays flv files like the above mentioned VLC player (its free)

Hmm. This is a bit off the topic of the original poster, but I have a you tube question of my own. There are a lot of videos I cannot view on there, because I get an error message stating I do not have the latest adobe flash player installed and/or java script is not enabled, when in fact I do have everything that is required. I've searched online for answers, but yet to have to find any. Anyone here have a similar problem and the answer to it?

Thanks.

I don't know why that happens sometimes. Refresh the page a few times and it should work.

My YouTube question is why does everyone on the planet use it? Our IT nazis have YouTube blocked. Are there other video-sharing sites that get much use?

Do you use Firefox's NoScript addon? I get this error and manually have to allow the site to temporarily allow javascript for You Tube vids to run.

No, I use Internet Explorer 7. I know, I know, but I never had any major problems with IE so I stick with it.
