You make me Tingly

We here characters describe how it feels to be stunned by a phaser. But, using your own words, based on what you've seen, how do you think it really feels. And if its as bad as they say it is, why do they seem perfectly okay in the next scene or so...I mean, is being stunned by a phaser ALL that bad??? What's the worst of it???

I always figure a stun setting feels -- to humans/humanoids -- like a low level electric shock and because it engulfs you, it overwhelms the system and knocks you out. That's why it's painful when it hits you, but there are no lasting effects.
