You know you're old when ...

You remember when you considered certain people in their 40's as "old".

Then, one day, you realized you're 40!!!

You're old when the music is too loud.
(guilty)
You're old when staying up late means after 9 PM.
(guilty)
You're old when sleeping in means getting up after 6 AM.
(guilty)
You're old when you think everyone else drives too fast.

<-- You know you're old when you can remember drinking this guy's beverage.

By that yardstick, I am officially old. I think I mentioned in another thread once upon a time, not only did I drink the stuff, but I had all the character's cups that you could send away for. :bolian:
Someday I will own the pillow pictured in my Avatar.

You know you're getting old when you can spend a weekend with your parents without losing your mind. Perhaps because it's already lost?
I feel... young.

You know your to old when you forget things in a instant, so i flipped the switch and found both would vibrate but the third one still has no power going to it, so my advice would be just apply some antiseptic cream and hope it works...hope that helps.

Thanks AuntieHill that was very moving. I'd forgotten how brilliant Mel Blanc was, coupled with the fantastic animation.

What the hell is a "crambo"

It's like obladee obladah.

At the very end of that clip he snaps his geetar string. This provokes mayhem because the perfect replacement is a cat's whisker. Not surprisingly by the end of the cartoon, Tom has no whiskers left.

Here's a good one, though it's not mine. A friend just posted on FaceBook that she feels old because she had to text herself a message with her long-term parking space number at the airport so she'll know where to find her car when she returns from her business trip. I am SO right there! :bolian: :(

For a more Science Fiction theme:

Thinking about the Blue Danube waltz while watching the TV coverage of Discovery docking at the ISS.

HA! I'm on a business trip right now, and to remember where I parked, I took a picture of where it is with my phone's camera!

Oh thanks. That particular milestone is a week from Saturday for me.

You know you're old when somebody on a message board tells you you are.

....when you mention in a random post that you're old... and then you get PM'd by a fellow poster who says, "I just looked at your pictures. You're not that elderly!"

I swear, this really happened!

I don't know if it qualifies as "old," but you definitely belong to a certain generation if hearing Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll" immediately makes you think of young Tom Cruise prancing around in his underwear.

Well I thought I was nice about it. Sheesh. You're not as old as my great-great-great grandfather yet.

You're not old until you start saying things like "those damn kids and their crazy music.". Which I started saying when beak dancing came out.

You know you're old when you still don't know what "beak" dancing is? I have two parrots and have never seen them do anything like that!

Good to note that I'm still young then. I have no clue what you're talking about.

Me, too! I also find myself bursting into "Don't drown your food" since every restaurant in Texas DOES drown everything.

I honestly think that describes about every restaurant in the U.S. or at least every one I've ever been to.

i knew i was old when i decided to listen to the pop music station on the radio and accidentally listened to the christian rock station for 10 minutes before i noticed.

A few months ago I was channel surfing on the radio and came across a song I had not heard in a long time that had been popular when I was in high school. The next few songs elicited the same reaction from me, so I left the station on. After about five or six songs, they did a station break. It was the oldies station.
