You and a holodeck

Just pretend that holodecks existed and that you are told that one, and only one, program would be created for you, what would you ask to be created?

I might sound boring but I would ask for the Museum of Natural History, London. I would be able to view anything in the museum not just what is on public display and I would be able to ask questions of any expert. With 70 million items I don't think I would ever get to see everything.

The bridge of the refit 1701, my wife is a skippy TOS uniform, and the captain's chair....

I'm thinking Anne Hathaway or Leighton Meester.

Hang on a minute, it's a holodeck; I don't really need to choose.

I'd create a holodeck in a holodeck.
I would be able to create any program in the holodeck on the holodeck ofc!

Don't choose. I'd just tell it to recreate the entire world under my control. That way I could visit the Museum of Natural History if I want, or Anne Hathaway if I want. Or meet Anne Hathaway at the Museum of Natural History.

And tell her to bring Leighton Meester and a couple of school girl outfits.

This holodeck does not have enough memory to create the whole world. I don't think the Star Trek ones did either.

I'd be hoping it would be possible to create holodeck versions of games like Dead Space, Uncharted, RDR, Call of Duty, Halo..etc, so I could play through them for real.

Yes, thta is possible. However as you are limited to the creation of one program you have to choose only one game.

I've thought about this for 10 minutes, but I really don't know. I can find pleasure in so many things already, that I'm not sure a holodeck would give me any more happiness than I already have.

That's a tough decision. I'll have to give it some thought.

Can I create the entire 10 seasons of Smallville or Friends and interact with those characters throughout those many seasons?

I don't need a holodeck. I have dreams, which are free, come to me at night (thus freeing my daytime to do whatever tasks I wish to do), provide a variety of programs to test my mind and soul, and have their own built-in safety features when things go wrong (I wake up).

Besides, who needs a holodeck when you've got a bed, quilt and several pillows with which one can build a small fort?

Yes, I think that a Star Trek holodeck would be able to do that. The Captain Proton program covered a similar range, I would imagine,
