When it comes to pens: Black ink only. Ballpoint only.

Old reliable Bic round stick with black ink.

Works well and is so cheap there's no concern if someone "borrows" it permanently.

For a while I was intrigued about the supposed ease of "roller ball" pens, but every one I've tried skips so much I no longer bother to try them.

I use a Zebra F301 or it's all stainless mate. They will write on just about anything or in any position.

Zebras are great pens, I keep a few around. Never lend them out, seeing as the minute someone gets a Zebra they seem to "lose" it-- in their shirt pocket.
