Yesteryear remake

One of the Mods already said that AI videos had no place in this fan film section

Ghaaahhhh, this video is creepy...Like putting human heads on bodies taken out of 1960s Gerry Anderson puppet shows

Sorry, I didn't read that post.

While other characters are sort of recognizable, that Kirk doesn't really look like Shatner.

That doesn't really strike me as generative A.I.

It looks like animation with some level of deepfake used for at least some of the faces.

I could be wrong. :)

According to the creator:
A sample of the series is reborn with today's technology, Unreal Engine 5. A single filmmaker drives all the aspects of production with a little help in specific disciplines. This is a no-budget experiment that uses apps that are freely accessible to everyone. It is not AI generated slop, but does use AI powered tools such as marker-less mocap, voice cloning, face replacement, 'creative' upscaling and AI-processed facial performance capture.
It's pretty rough around the edges and slightly creepy.

The ship scenes and the sets are perfect, and parts of the faces match, mostly around the eyes. The bodies move around too much though :D
