If Stargate's Thor was seen and worshiped as a god by ancient humans, I'll allow it. Can't be too picky, right?

I didn't want to have a little argument over it, but the whole thing is that God (and the Devil/Satan) is supposed to have pre-dated all these fake deities, which is why I entered the Devil. But picky disapproval over a different take on it, disqualified my initial entry. ;-)

I'm not terribly familar with Stargate. From what I've read, this character is an extraterrestrial named Thor, not the actual Norse god Thor. If so, he'll have to be disqualified.

Otherwise, we've got lots of excellent entries. Voting thread will go up on Friday.

I beg to differ, I would offer you to delve a bit more in stargate lore. Thor's race ( the Asgard) in stargate made themselves clearly related to the Norse deities that existed in scandinavia. at one point, they were using holograms that showed them akin to Vikings rather than the grey roswell guys they are in the series, I'm not the OP nor the organizer of this contest, but I would accept it.

Ra, from stargate movie and in the same lore, Cronus who was associated with the Greek titan ( that would be the father of Zeus, etc.)

actually there is a slew of these aliens/gods from there that could be used (Anubis, Seth, to name a few)
