Contest: ENTER Ye Gods!

The theme of this contest is portrayals of pagan or pre-Christian deities in movies, TV, animation, comics, video games, etc. Naturally, fantasy and SF are permitted; however, let's limit entries to deities that people actually believed in and worshiped at some time in history (so, no Crom). You may enter up to 3 avatars. Max dimensions 200 x 200 px, max file size 2 (yes, 2) MB.

I'll lead off with these two:

Rita Hayworth as Terpsichore in Down to Earth (1947)

Laurence Olivier as Zeus in Clash of the Titans (1981)

There are still plenty of possible entries, folks! Just off the top of my head, there's Jason and the Argonauts (1963) and Gods of Egypt (2016).

The-Others-What-Do-You-Want.gif

TV series: "The Others"
An NBC series that was cancelled way too early and ended on a cliffhanger.

Episode: "The Ones that Lie in Wait"

Elmer: "Imagine if the devil knew what you wanted most, how defenseless you'd be."

In a really good episode, the paranormal investigation group finds themselves in peril on a dark and stormy night, with members being approached by Satan in disguise, asking them, "What do you want?"

@tharpdevenport: The subject of this contest is portrayals of pagan gods: Greco-Roman gods, Egyptian gods, Norse gods, that sort of thing. Satan, whether or not in mortal guise, is a Judeo-Christian concept and therefore I don't believe he qualifies.

Thor in Stargate SG-1:

I'm not terribly familar with Stargate. From what I've read, this character is an extraterrestrial named Thor, not the actual Norse god Thor. If so, he'll have to be disqualified.

Otherwise, we've got lots of excellent entries. Voting thread will go up on Friday.

Good call. If you're disqualifying aliens perceived by primitive humans in their mythology as gods you should also disqualify Kukulkan and Apollo.

If Stargate's Thor was seen and worshiped as a god by ancient humans, I'll allow it. Can't be too picky, right?

He did have a holographic mask that made him appear as a human viking, my entry is his true appearance that he revealed to the 20th century humans.
