So what? It's not like the character will stay dead.
Except that Marvel went and spoiled it themselves with a press release this morning so they could make the morning news cycle. It's not exactly Yahoo!'s fault that they spoiled the story. They were going to polybag the issue to avoid spoiling anyone!
A fair point, of course, so I apologize for the glib "So what?" part of my previous post. I suppose I look at it very differently; even when I was purchasing superhero comics, I didn't care at all when a death like this (or some other major event, as in Spider-Man's unmasking in Civil War, as you mentioned) was "spoiled" for me because I knew it wouldn't last. Some of us are actually reading Fantastic Four every month, and some of that number are even paying cash for that experience still.

Just went to Yahoo and didn't see the story. Guess they took it down.

+1
I give it exactly one year. And in a few years (probably much less), they'll market the return of said character in some big way.
Don't you know?^^^
I'm as over the #1 gimmick as I am the death gimmick.
Just tell some good stories and market those appropriately.
