One of the best tv shows on air, in my opinion, is the THE BIG BANG THEORY. Any one who watches this shows knows that Star Trek plays a big part in some of the plots....and this show is getting huge. And, ta da, it attracts men AND women..and is aimed at us Trek fans...
Anyway. If CBS/PARAMOUNT are still connected, and I think they are, then I wouldn't be surprised if the TREK mentions become more numerous next season towards the opening of this movie. You have millions of people, women included, who watch this show. And since it already mentions quite requently, I would not be surprised if it did so as that big day approaches...
By the way...Did anyone see the episode where Sheldon dressed up as spock and went to the county fair with his WORKING tricorder toy? That was a splended example of the kind of fan of Star trek that REALITY knows..
