X-Men : First Class

If they are going for much younger versions of Professor X and Magneto, it may be because the characters are seen as young men many years prior to the formation of Xavier's school at one point...

possibly before Xavier was a parapalegic? Showing how he got into the wheel chair in the first place. Speaking of which, 3rd suggestion, Terry O'Quinn for Charles Xavier! J/K

Xaver was walking in "Origins", so he broke his back sometime after he found Scott.

Maybe it'll be like in the comics, he was crippled battling the Shadow King (the first evil mutant he ever encountered).

^hmm credible British actors in there 20's. Or shall I say credible actors that can pull off a great English accent that are either in there 20s or look like they are. Shouldn't be too hard right?

Knowing my luck, we'll probably end up with Tennant getting one of the jobs.

Despite Singer not directing it he is still active as a producer and probably consulting on the motion picture. The script is taken from his treatment so he is still very hands on with this project. Indeed without Singer's involvement or his pitch I don't think Fox would be fast tracking this...we'd still be in limbo and they would be most likely finding a new writer to rewrite Josh Swartch (ugh butchered the poor guys name) original adaption of the comic.

I'm thinking that their dissolution of their friendship with either be something original that Singer came up with or he'll use the Ultimate X-Men depiction with Erik being the one who severed Charles's spine. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with. As for casting...she might be too old to play a teenager but she still has that youthful look...I'd love Felicia Day to play Jean Grey barring that I'd say Emma Stone has to be considered a front runner.

This probably isn't really the place to ask this, but does anyone have any suggestions for prolific television actors/actresses who could play the roles of Xavier, Lehnsherr, Emma Frost, and Moira McTaggert?

In terms of casting for the movie, how about the following:
Rachel McAdams as Jean (I think she looks like a younger version of Famke Jannsen)
Jamie Campbell Bower as Beast
Rutina Weslely as Storm

I understand that a young Emma Frost appeared in Origins: Wolverine, meaning she might be a possible candidate for inclusion in 'First Class', so how about AnnaLynne McCord for the role?

As I said, I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with David Tennant as Magneto.

Oh, and Tom Hardy as Xavier...

No course not dude, was referring to the jokey stunt casting, but seriously if those 2 are even considered I will eternally boycott any future Mathew Vaughn movie, hahaha

Justin beiber and lady gaga that is

Tom hardy, good choice, ive really only seen him on Nemesis and Bronson although him as young Patrick Stewart would totally work in a tongue in cheek sort of way

maybe Lena headey for Moira but with a Scottish accent

I'm fairly well aware that I'm out of touch with 'the young people' but Bieber and Gaga's popularity makes me glad that I'm old enough to be that out of touch and will thus will probably be dead before their fans are running the country.

I'm only 28 and already feel out of touch with today's music and have been for a while, so I'm right there with ya
