X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Sigh...whatever. Nerys jokingly brought up missing a timothy moment and I in turn jokingly pointed out where it happened in the thread. So please stop commenting about expectations I may or may not have in this thread.

Now now guys, let's settle it like men. How about about a little Greco Roman wrestling in a pool of Cheese Wiz? (Not gay) (Not like there's anything wrong with that as quoted in Seinfeld).

Here are three short 'character' trailers, each focussing on a particular character (Banshee, Havok and Beast).

Observations: Banshee doesn't seem to be Irish any more, which is probably better than listening to a mangled Oirish accent.

James McEvoy seems to be channelling Patrick Stewart here more than has been evident before.

Nicholas Hoult doesn't seem to be quite so reminiscent of Kelsey Grammer but I really like how he evinces both the 'blue' beast and the apelike one from the original comics.

Man first Moira McTaggart and now Sean Cassidy?

No love for the Irish/Scottish eh?

All 3 look bad ass though!

And Nicholas may not be channeling Kelsey Grammar but it sure seems like he's channeling George Buza's Beast from the 90's animated series.

1 more month ladies and gents!

For the record, I have no issues with you.
I honestly find you very funny.:bolian:

maybe they'll release these every week until release, angel salvadore, mystique, and maybe Moira or Darwin next. Hellfire Club version would be cool too

Those are amazing! I love the way Vaughan shot Beast's transformation there. Like an old school monster movie, leaving the look of it to your imagination! That's fantastic! We need more creativity like that in Hollywood. Just because you can CGI any old thing and show anything and everything, doesn't mean you should.

And the acting in all of them is great. Love it. More excited than ever.

Those are indeed cool. Are they TV spots or just on the FB page? I feel like all they do is preach to the choir. Those of us who are going to show up already.

They really should sprinkle those out there, cut 'em down to 30 sec where possible to entice the general movie goer that this is a whole new X-Men movie. I worry that with so much summer competition someone making a choice might say, "Nah, it's another X-Men movie, lets see ____ instead." could happen.

Pretty cool clips, but my favorite part about the first two was McAvoy (there wasn't much of him in the Beast one). He actually sounded a lot like Patrick Stewart, or at least I thought he did. We haven't seen much of him so far; in most other trailers and clips it's been Magneto, Magneto, Magneto.

@Exodus...thanks, I think?

@Captaindemotion that made me laugh.

I love these character trailers. I'm honestly really excited for this film. I started off hesitant but now have come full circle.Disappointed there won't be a novel but oh well I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too these days.

It also detracts from the theme of diversity in the X-Men.

Seriously. If Vaughn wanted an American team, then he should have done a movie about the original five X-Men. I don't get his pigheaded stubborness about making the foreign X-Men American. At its best, the X-Men are an international team. Making them all American just makes them more generic.

Vaughn is working from Singer's treatment remember, he's really making Bryan Singer's movie here. Singer didn't want to make a film about the original five, he wanted the story to focus on Magneto and Xavier's deteriorating friendship.
