Any bets on how long it'll take before they shoehorn in a young Wolverine for a cameo?
I've heard rumors that Chris Claremont originally wanted Mystique to be Kurt's FATHER (having shape-shifted to a male form) and Destiny to be his mother.Funny, I always thought it would've made more sense for Sabretooth to be Nightcrawler's father as well as Graydon Creed's. At least Sabretooth explains the fur and fangs. And he apparently WAS Kurt's dad in "Age of Apocalypse".
With all of the holes in Wolvie's memory, it gives them an opening for an appearance.I don't like the idea of using Wolverine at all since "X-Men" established that was the first time he met Charles Xavier and the rest of the team. I think though that if he does appear at all if they do sequels that he'll be used like he was in Origins without actually interacting with the X-Men characters. This of course is all purely hypothetical and speculation on my part.

Oliver Platt is the latest to join the cast of X-Men: First Class, reports Deadline.
Platt's role is listed as "the Man in Black" and seems to be an original character created specficially for the film. News of his casting comes on the heels of this morning's report that Rose Byrne will appear in the film as Moira MacTaggert, joining an ever-expanding cast that includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Alice Eve, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi and Jason Flemyng.
The most conspicuous absence in the cast so far is an actor for the role of Scott Summers (aka Cyclops).
X-Men: First Class opens June 3, 2011.
Eh, she's a better Sue Storm type. Christina Hendricks with a blonde wig would be more the Emma Frost type. But it would be funny if Jon Hamm gets cast as Superman. Marvel-DC crossover battle royale!January Jones has been signed to play the role of Emma Frost, the gorgeous mutant with telepathic powers.
