There's no point in doing an age of Apocalypse movie until they've showed us who Apocalypse is, and besides, they can't do two time travel movies right next to each other, can they?

Bringing in Bishop this movie might mean Onslaught is possible down the line.

But Cable first, then Onslaught, then Age of Apocalypse.

1. Quicksilver so earned his own spinoff movie.

2. ARE YOU WATCHING GREG BERLANTI!?

It's unlikely the next movie will be exactly like the comic book crossovers, X-Caliber, Generation Next, etc. The current roster of movie mutants is limited. Though I imagine Wolverine, Storm, Magneto, et al will take center stage as usual.
Jackman's last rodeo as Wolverine will be in 2016. His last solo outing Wolverine film. X-Men Apocalypse will be First Class 3. With McAvroy, Fassbender, Hoult and new actors cast as Scott, Jean and Storm. It'll be set in the 80's, so the aforementioned recasting characters will be teens. Also Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch are slated to appear in Apocalypse.

X-Men - Dawn Of Apocalypse

:p

ETA: If I had the power with these type of movies I would do a before film scene teasing the next film so people are like OMG! WTF!

i do wonder if Cable will be in the next film. he has such a convoluted back story.

Is it too soon for the debate of Quicksilver v The Flash? :p
It'll probably more like X: DOFP Quicksilver vs A: AOU Quicksilver next year.

I'm not sure what else to say, other than, am I the only one who caught the
Sweetmonkeyfuck, it's Cable!
?
Pure speculation on my part, but considering his hair colour, and the perfect symmetry it creates with the post-credits sequence, IMO it's just got to be!
When and who was that?

The young man in the hoodie who picks up the X-Men belt buckle right before the main title sequence kicks in. He's seen scrambling through the rubble right after the ghetto shots, and finds a buried X-uniform (body?).
His hair actually reminded me of one of the two random mutants with Wolverine at the start of the 90s animated Days of Future Past episode

Long story short, a solid A for me.

Very entertaining, solid cast. Good humor, the plot felt like it was moving along nicely. Cool cameos.

All in all, I was very entertained, and that makes me happy. :)

Great interview. Thank you for sharing that.

It helps answer my question about Kitty's new power with a reasonable explanation: As an extension to her ability to phase through space, she can now phase through time. Simple enough.

By the way, what is Bishop's power exactly? The movie didn't really make that clear to us non-readers.

Not if he's just a soldier from the future. ;)

It also wouldn't be outrageous to say he's Scott and Jean's future son. Would make for some awkward scenes as he meets mom and dad when they haven't even had a kid yet.

I don't think there's a whole lot I could say about the movie that hasn't been said already. I really enjoyed it. The middle lagged a bit, though. Basically, once Magneto was rescued from the Pentagon, things slowed down up until the Paris conference kicked in.

The post-credits tag was pretty awesome, even though it just hints at who the next movie is about.

As for why Apocalypse doesn't have blue lips and such--he was born looking much like you see him in the ending tag. He gains his technological prowess and trademark blue lips once he acquires and utilizes 30th century time traveler Kang the Conqueror's future technology. Kang presented himself as Pharaoh Rama-Tut and wanted to groom Nur as his heir, but the Fantastic Four stopped him. Even so, Nur had enough of Kang's technology to do his own thing with it. As far as I know, that tech is the basis for much of his power, and how he regenerates every time he is "killed."

I guess that's another detail they'd have to work around, since you can't have the FF in an X-Men film. ;)

Aren't the rights FF also held by Fox? You might very well be able to have the Fantastic Four in an X-Men movie.

As far as I know, Apocalypse is supposed to be in 2016 and the solo Wolverine film is supposed to be in 2017. Jennifer Lawrence is supposedly in Apocalypse so that implies they'd pick up where they left off with her and Wolverine.

Maybe you should just concede? The universe wants you to read comics and you are fighting the universe. Only certain sorts of people think that they can fight the entire universe and win.

My ears were playing tricks on me in the theatre, I knew they had to be saying En Sabah Nur but all I swore I could hear that filthy throng screaming was Ras'Al Gul... Is it possible that my theatre was accidentally shipped a gag real?

The real reason I entered this thread... Did Kennedy's Mutant powers have everything to do with him claiming the presidency or nothing to with him claiming the presidency?

I'm told that the point of no return where his victory was certaintalized was the Television debate where he looked like a movie star and Nixon looked like a sweating hog.

Is it possible he had heat based powers and JFK made Nixon look like a wet guilty liar by increasing the air temperature around his plump jowly face by 12 degrees?

You're right, though I've seen no efforts by Fox to merge their X-Men and FF franchises. Then again, with the new FF film being a reboot, maybe they want to emulate the MCU and start tying them together. That'd be a trip.
