I am thinking temporary cure. He would have no reason for a disguise in private with them. Plus the location photo of him in makeup was very public, where you would think he would want a disguise.

@Set Harth...yes. That was a set pic, this is a promotional still. The camera was also in the set pic, we can probably assume the two of them were talking with Xavier. Logan looked like he didn't have a clue where he was in that set pic, so perhaps this is shortly after he has been sent back.

Apparently Kitty is guiding him somehow and they botch the plan according to that link that Turtletrekker posted a while back, so perhaps his mind is attempting to adjust from disorientation due to time displacement?

I'd say it's rather... uncanny.

You can see there that Fassbender and McKellan have similar features, but McAvoy's facial features look much more "aggressive" or "stressed" than Stewart's. Kinda like the difference between George Takei and John Cho. One reason why I never really liked the choice for young Xavier.
