X-MEN: Days Of Future Past (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Don't know if it's been posted yet but here's an interview with the ever adorable and amazing Jennifer Lawrence (skip to around 2:08 where they begin talking about the new X-Men movie)

I just love her and will be definitely seeing every movie she makes from now on.. despite being labelled as a Teen novel/movie i thought Hunger Games was quite good but she was amazing in Silver Linings playbook and obviously quite good in First Class too.
 
I have to admit that I always thought Mystique running around naked was a bit weird and made her look like a lizard. I say skip the bodysuit and just give her some clothes to wear.
 
That'll mean a lot of f/x work smoothing out the crinkling material, methinks... unless they actually clothe her.
 
I was wondering the same thing. I think it would be better to just clothe her. The character in the comics always had a costume. First Class started to move in the direction of costumes closer to the comics. So seeing her in a costume would continue the tread.
 
I prefer her "almost always clothed" style in First Class. It's easier on the filmmakers, and it's less distracting. ;)
 
I suppose the reason she's naked in the films is that when she shapeshifts she's not constricted by anything. If she's wearing clothes it doesn't really work (unless the clothes were a part of her, ie like Odo in DS9) but then what would be the point of that?
 
Does anyone know if Guy Hendrix Dyas will be back doing production design?

? but she shapesifts into other people wearing clothes so....

They would have to paint less and could do away with this bodysuit idea if they just gave us a reasonable facsimile of Mystique's more famous white outfit with the boots and skull belt.
Or some variation of the other bodysuit/jumpsuit type outfits she's worn over the years.


I hope this new French actor casting is indeed Bishop, especially if Storm comes into play. While not many may be championing having Berry back the sense of continuity would be nice in the role.
 
To many characters! What is this a nine hour mini-series? Trying to get all the fanboys jumping up and down at once? Well 3 seconds per character should be enough.
 
Given that no one knows the extent of the characters screentime and that a boatload of characters die in the story it might only be a short scene of them appearing and then getting killed.. kind of like the Order 66 scene from Star Wars.
 
I understand why Mystique is naked, but it always seemed rather unnecessary to me. It didn't really affect the character in any way be keeping her clothed throughout FC.
