X-MEN: Days Of Future Past (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

Matthew Vaughn actually cast Kelsey Grammer as Hank...that's why he's only one of the good things about...that movie ;)

I'd be pleased to have Grammer back as Beast as well. Surely being on a solid show like Boss keeps his status/profile elevated enough to make that happen. Provided he is willing to come back of course.

I can't wait until we start getting set pics.
With so much news and juggling of getting Jennifer Lawrence due to Catching Fire does anyone remember when filming was slated to start? I kept thinking April/May, does that sound right. If so we could anticipated leaked set photos shortly after that.

I very very happy about this. It will be interesting to see how exactly this will tie into the original trilogy. I'm assuming since the universe is supposed to be more coherent, and The Wolverine is apparently building off of TLS that they won't completely ignore it. I could see them maybe undoing it like some of you guys said, but I doubt they'll completely ignore it.

Wheels: Hey, didn't you lose your powers?
Mags: Yeah, but I got better. Sorta like the flu. Hey, weren't you dead?
Wheels: Same story.
Mags: Cool beans.

Did he even have any scenes with Stewart or McKellen?

Nope. They should have had him depower Magneto, or something.

How do we even know that the time travel will be, to put it in ST terms, single-timeline?

Hugh Jackman is in talks to appear as well. A development that surprises exactly nobody.

Geez, how many of these films is this guy going to make, already?

Is he going to stop at seven?

you say it like its a bad thing.

With almost every other actor playing a Superhero people start assuming they stop early on. For legitimate reasons. They get sick of it am want to move on or/and want to much money. Yet Jackman seems willing to play Wolverine as long as they want him to. Seems great to me.

Hear hear.

Count me as one of those who didn't think there was a chance of getting Jackman in the film since he has branched out into his own films with Wolverine. I couldn't imagine him coming back to an assembled cast X-Men film for anything more than a cameo. If he really does sign up well hot diggity! That's damn exciting.

Wolverine was, is, and always will be the most popular X-Men (with the exception for the brief period when he didn't exist and X-Men wasn't all that popular back then). Also, I can't speak for the comic, but the TV version of Days of Future Past features Wolverine fairly prominently in the future.

Speaking of which, there's a lot of talk of signing lots of people, but have they written a script yet? It seems to me the key question is who the time traveler is going to be.

I guess in our discussion we've been glad to see who's coming back that we have neglected to talk about this.

Clearly it's either Cable or Bishop...both? Which also means casting for new faces of popular characters.

Bishop=Idris Elba (pull the ole Chris Evans route)
Cable=Dwayne Johnson

Could also be Kitty Pryde. If that's the case, they have to decide whether to bring back Ellen Page or go down a different route.

However, I think both suggested actors would be great. If they went with Bishop, Idris Elba would be an awesome choice.
