X-Files Revival Officially Ordered at Fox

Yeah, there's definitely no Krycek in the trailer. Considering Skinner shot him in the head, having him back from the dead would be a pretty big twist. I think you're all confusing him with Joel McHale.

Something tells me Spender/Cigarette Smoke Man will be used in flashbacks. His hand looks really young, and we've got some scenes of army guys from decades ago (maybe we're finally seeing Roswell?), so I'm guessing that's where he'll pop up.

Nicholas Lea has been rumored or listed as joining the show. As the dead Krycek? Maybe.

I think the viewer above thought the man getting out of the helicopter was Krycek. But upon comparing him with recent pictures of Nicholas Lea, I don't see the resemblance.

This trailer made me giddy.

I've watched it a half-dozen times and I still don't see Krycek anywhere. Where do you guys see him?

The clean-shaven Joel McHale looks a little like Krycek, walking from the helicopter to Mulder's front porch.

A bit. But Krychek had more class. ;)

I'm somewhat excited for things. It's looking good.

Which is fine. This is the X-Files, after all. Weird shit happens.

But if a dead character like Krycek were coming back, the trailer wouldn't just have him randomly walking around. They'd make a bigger deal about it.

My only real complaint is Scully's hair. I realize Gillian has been sporting the blonde look for a while now, but Scully is a red head!

And yes, I know this is a dumb complaint.

You have nothing to worry about! They fixed that! :) It was a wig screw up. They adjusted things and it's more red now.

Yeah, I think most of that footage in the trailer is from the first episode (and possibly the sixth, depending on if they filmed My Struggle parts I & II back-to-back for production reasons) since pictures from the sets of later episodes have Anderson looking more properly Scully-red.

Next weekend, the revival's first episode will be shown at the New York Comicon. I'm envious of those lucky few that get see it loooong before the rest of us. Hopefully someone from this forum is going so we can get a first-hand report (and hound them relentlessly with questions about every detail of the story).

Well, I guess that means I'll be avoiding this thread starting next weekend.

To those people and their acolytes, I say give maturity a chance with delayed gratification. If you need to see it that much, record it on the first airing and watch it 127 times, or however many times it takes to account for all the time you might otherwise spend hounding for spoilers.

JUST DON'T HAVE THE GALL AND POWER TRIP TO SPOIL US HERE.

Word. I don't like that kind of attitude at all. Regardless of the show.

If you want to share, put it under tags. Have some decency and respect for those who DON'T want to be spoiled.

TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that the X-Files Seasons 1-9 will be released on Blu-Ray on December 8!

About damn time.

It says "all episodes will be 1.78:1 widescreen." Is that original (correct)? Is that Netflix?

Carter has said they protected for widescreen all along. While it's a bit jarring to see early episodes in widescreen, they look absolutely gorgeous.
