How would Sisko handle the entire thing w/the Caretaker and the Ocampa if the Defiant and its crew were absconded from the Badlands?

Sisko of the 1st 3 seasons would get his crew back home that day. Not 6 and half years to do it.
While Sisko from the 4th- the 7th season will get the Prophets to handle his business, like that terrible episode where he simply asked them to fight his ridiculous battle for him and made the Dominion fleet cease to exist in the wormhole. Great writing:rolleyes:

Are we talking bald Sisko, pre-goatee Sisko, or god Sisko?

Sisko when he had the goatee but before shaving his head.

If you were in that situation and had such a resource at your disposal, wouldn't you use it?

The Sisco would have handled the Voyager Caretaker situation the same way he handled Q. Punch it in the face to make his point, then shout at it with the voice of command until it sent everybody home. Making clear that it was not a request and there was no other option.

And this would have been while he was still driving a runabout. Once he had the keys to the Defiant? There would be none of this bloody Kazon Oompa Loompa nonsense tolerated. The Locals would be shaving their greasy matted heads to honor the Emissary who briefly visited them to slap some common sense into their lives the way their mothers never bothered to.

He would have reasoned with the Caretaker, and when that didn't work, threaten not to blow the station up unless the Caretaker show him how to get his ship back. The Caretaker, not willing to be strongarmed, would have swished him into white space, where he would have talked with members of the regular cast droning in emotionless voices about his species. Meanwhile, Quark would have facilitated a deal with the Kazon, who would be hot on his tail after he swindled them by trading for jugs of water for their females. Dax would have blown up the Ocampa computer and force them to grow up or die. Kira would have trained the Ocampa how to fight Kazon a la Archer's Marauders, turning them into paramilitary guerrillas in a single montage - with headbands.

Sisko has a vision of Jennifer who tells him he must return to the Alpha Quadrant or the Federation will lose "a war of finality" with some unknown aliens. He wakes up in the corn near Banjoman, who is dying on his rocker and playing a sad ditty. Then he shakes the old man until dead. Sisko bites back his words and joins Kira's fight.

When the Kazon threaten to overwhelm the Array, Sisko uses the array to send their entire fleet back to Borg space. Then he starts yanking Alpha Quadrant Cardassian ships there too. He figures out how to activate the Array by remote, jets them back to the AQ and leaves a bomb to blow up the station.

However, the array does not blow up for a mysterious reason, which turns out to be Prophet interference, or maybe the Pah Wraiths. Sisko has been beamed to an unknown part of the galaxy; Seska and Winn join forces, Dukat and Cullah do too, and Kes teams up with Odo. Neelix raises Jake. Sisko washes up in fluidic space, and comes back with the 8472 blazing through the DMZ and taking the fight back to the Dominion rogue planet, eventually sending the whole thing to fluidic space where they are happier. Sisko discovers the wormhole from the Gamma end and scares the crap out of DS9 in his little runabout.

The Kazon, Cardies, Jem'Hadar mass in an incredible fleet headed to Bajor and then to Earth with nothing at all to stop them. They emerge from the Badlands.

Sisko runs to Ops to pull another miracle out of his sleeve with Dax's help, as the station prepares for its doom. No one has any hope. Well, it was nice while it lasted, folks. Someone is waiting for Sisko in Ops - an unknown Starfleet captain with a bun and a PADD.

Odo pulls an 8472 con on Quark, who unlocks his new harem to run interference for his escape, and Keiko puts them in nail salons. Quark gets locked in an airlock with a Kira at the controls. The Caretaker Array itself appears at DS9 and explodes, taking out the Jem'Hadar/Kazon Alliance fleet in one swoop.

Sisko offers to buy Janeway a raktajino, while they discuss the Borg, and how the Indiana Hoosiers baseball team looks this season.

And the world loses 14 years of Star Trek.
But it opens the way for the night time teen vampire soap opera Star Trek: Impaler.
