wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

Crazy, huh. But then ever since Smackdown's the move to Syfy, they've kept the star power relegated to RAW. Sad, but true.

Very true. This is one of the reasons why they should end the branch extension. I really see no point in it any more and now that they've combined the roster essentially for Raw it doesn't make sense (oh I said that word again) to keep it going.

As much as I agree. I'd hate to see Teddy Long's character demoted for trying to do the right thing. (I'm not talking about Aksana here)

I think Teddy has been General Manager of Smackdown for way too long. That show needs a major shake up. It's too bad WWE has a lack of on camera talent for that role. Oh I forgot to mention this, but I'd so watch a Miz/Daniel Bryan tag team :)

Yeah, I've been waiting for the explicit moment where Bryan can be called a heel without any doubt. It came tonight.

The Miz showed him respect as an equal, and Michael Cole did nothing but sing Bryan's praises.

Two things that would never have happened as recently as three weeks ago.

Agreed. At first I thought Miz was coming out to challenge Bryan for a World Heavyweight Title shot after 28 or to some how weasel his way and make it a three way, but when he mentioned their past on NXT and suggested the tag team...I thought that'd be a bad ass tag team. I hate they broke up Awesome Truth (I personally think one of WWE's better tag teams in recent years never to win the WWE Tag Team Championship) but this would be a pretty good team. Maybe they're already teasing a Sheamus win at 28 and their next plans for Bryan.

In regards to the brand extension...

I too think it is about time it has ended, although I've been saying for years that they should unify the two world titles and have the champion work the dual brand or just the one brand if the extension ends. This way they could bring back prestige to the secondary titles by having them be percieved as "top titles" - although not "top" in a world title sense and obviously below the big one - the WWE Championship.

This would mean that the world champion would be a busy person, but then again the WWE Champion is busy by default anyway since having the title means you are the incumbent "top guy" in the company. It worked when the brands initially split and the "Undisputed Championship" was in effect because the big stars like Triple H, The Rock, Undertaker and even Hulk Hogan held the title. A single world title could easily work again if WWE was motivated to elevate other wrestlers/superstars/entertainers/ to the level the aforementioned were when they held the Undisputed Championship.

By all accounts, the pecking order or the five biggest stars (disregarding Triple H, The Rock and The Undertaker) in WWE at the moment seem to be,

John Cena
CM Punk
Chris Jericho
Randy Orton
Sheamus

Miz was up there as one of their top heels but yeah since he's been in the dog house he has fallen from grace. Same with Del Rio who was reportedly in the dog house as well. I would argue that R-Truth thanks to the comedic Little Jimmy gimmick is starting to creep up there and I would include Christian (when he's healthy) as one of their top stars.

Admiral M...you bring up an interesting topic to discuss with regards to possibly Unifying the World Championship. If it were up to me I would have the WWE Champion face the Big Gold title holder in an Undisputed Championship match at a future Wrestlemania or one of the big four PPV's. Then the winner of said match is presented with a brand new Undisputed Championship Title (they will milk this phrase like always) which would calm the fans who want rid of the spinner title design. It'd basically have Reggie Parks design a modern update of the Undisputed Title they had at the start of the PG Era before Cena introduced the first version of the Spinner Belt. Also this new WWE Championship Title would begin a new era, Triple H would come out and declare that the brand extension is over and both Raw and Smackdown will operate as they once did in the Attitude Era, same roster but brand new shows twice a week. They'd officially "retire" the Big Gold and Spinner Belts.

^While I am a fan 'The Big Gold Belt' and not the 'WWE Bling-Spinner Belt', I'm not sure of the Champion competing on two shows, they tried that in 2002 and it didn't work out so well.

Yeah...that'd be a deterrent, but people will have to get to used to having one WWE Champion again. Having one Champion would increase IMO the value and importance of the other titles as well. Probably would make my Undisputed Champion CM Punk. Don't really see anyone else...maybe Miz (yes I'm marking out still for Mike) as an uber heel, who could handle it. The other thing I'd do is get rid of the General Mangers for both shows. Triple H would be the on camera authority, much like Vince was for so long.

Between a no-talent like the Miz being top of the company and having to suffer that loathsome prick Levesque on screen every week, I'm afraid I'll have to disagree.

I like there being a world title for each show and wouldn't want to see that change. I'm happy with the current situation regarding the brand extension, that of the supershows.

An interesting interview from Punk with video. He comments on various topics including what I found interesting is that he wanted to be kept off television after winning his first WWE Title back in July. I believe that I suggested that they kept him off for a month or so in order to keep building more hype and interest for the story line. I think he felt he had to return because of the roster depth problems.

Man has discussion died down in here lately lol.

I guess the lack of discussion could be attributed to the absence of anything really interesting happening in the professional wrestling industry. It's usually like this at this time of year when around half the matches for Wrestlemania have been announced and the Hall of Fame inductees are revealed. What we know about Wrestlemania...

John Cena vs. The Rock
Hell in a Cell: Triple H vs. The Undertaker
World Heavyweight Championship: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus
WWE Championship: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho

There are 8 or 9 matches at your average Wrestlemania and usually 3 big matches that stand out more than the rest of the card (Jericho vs. Punk, Triple H vs. Taker and Rock vs. Cena). I would also speculate the following additions...

Former Champions MITB ladder match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton vs. Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian vs. Kane vs. Mark Henry vs. Rey Mysterio (if he's recovered enough to return at Wrestlemania as either a surprise entrant or pre-announced match participant)

Intercontinental Championship: Goldust/Dustin Rhodes vs. Cody Rhodes

Diva Battle Royal/Tag Team/Lumberjack Disgrace

Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal (not too confident about this one)

6 Man Tag Team Bonus Match

Was that when he ran off with the title and the whole "Punk is no longer with the company but he still has the belt" storyline. Yeah that would have been kind of cool.

The only thing I'm excited about Wrestlemania so far (And I'm actually slowly getting back into the WWE because of that event) is the Hell in The Cell. That was probably the best segment I've seen on Raw this year (Of course not having watched Raw a lot, there's not much to go on) and I do wonder how that will work with an outside arena. Don't they usually have canopies over the ring (especially if it's Raining, as it was today in Daytona)? Not really familer with how they do outside Mania's in the past.

I wonder what all the extra stuff is going to be. They typically bring in a celebrity, which I guess is shack and they also did the whole thing with Michael and Lawler last year which was kind of dumb. I would really like some new blood behind the announcer table but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. I know they can't always bring back JR, but why not someone like Edge? Edge has that personality where I wonder if he would be good either announcing or being the color guy. And it allows Edge back into the WWE fold without having him wrestle, which I thought was going to happen in the first place.
