wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

:lol::lol:

I was so hoping daniel would get his hands on michael.
smackdown was pretty good. it looks like randy orton and wade battet will have a tabel match.

I wouldn't say he was the only reason. He was a big part of WWE's creative direction back then as well but there were others who contributed. Otherwise Vince would never have let him go. He doesn't seem to be doing anything innovative in TNA, in fact he seems to be rehashing previous stuff or tweaking it.

You know I've been doing some thinking about this Rock Vs Cena at Wrestlemania 28. As much as I'm still against the whole notion off the match and making it for the title (I still think they'll change that part) I think maybe Rock wants to go out the same way Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels went out. He wants that one last special match in his home town against the top superstar in the company on the biggest PPV of the year. My only concern is if Rock continues doing stuff after the match...like a rematch. I'd even buy him winning the title from Cena only to relinquish it on Raw (the thing that Bret wanted to do at Survivor Series '97) set up a WWE title tournament or something like that. I've been watching the aforementioned Ric Flair Vs Shawn Michaels and Undertaker Vs Shawn Michaels matches and both have similar finishes. I'm thinking Rock wants that. The match also has a bit of Rock Vs Hogan in it as well. Another concern I have about the whole thing is that I feel like WWE is going to screw this up somehow.

I don't personally know any of these guys so I couldn't really put anyone on my "shit list" for any personal reasons. In terms of putting people on the list for things they've either done or been a part of that have diminshed the wrestling experience for me - it would look something like this

Hulk Hogan: For his WCW run in which he held down promising new talent by almost constantly being a part of the main event picture and using his creative control to veto storylines in which he would help build new stars.

Vince Russo: For pretty much delivering the final blow to WCW with his array of terrible booking decisions, questionable storylines and his presence on the TNA booking team which has lead to many of the same questionable storylines (although no where near as bad as WCW).

Ed Ferrera: For portraying the "Oklahoma" character that was a Jim Ross parody in extremely bad taste - that included imitating Ross' Bells Palsy.

Ultimate Warrior: I think everyone can work this out!

Any of Vince McMahon's "Yes Men": For playing to McMahon's dislike of being percieved as a lowly wrestling promoter and causing the kind of Orwellian newspeak crap we hear at ever WWE show. The most recent annoyance being the constant mention of social networking media that nobody cares about.

Lots of names on my list but a few highlights

Bischoff, who after he created and ran with the NWO had no further ideas.
Flair, for continuing to think anyone wants to watch him in the ring.
Russo, for the whole David Arquette championship run, thanks Vince.
Bret Hart, for being a whiney little bitch for over a decade.
Vince McMahon, for not letting go of the potty humor he finds so funny, constantly putting announcers in matches and angles, not liking tag teams, always pushing "talentless big men" over better smaller performers, burying talent that comes in from other promotions, removing JR from commentary because he is old, and finally for surrounding himself with yes men.

Admiral Young I have no doubt that WWE will mess up Cena/Rock. Right now they are just so scattered and directionless it reminds me of the period just before the Attitude era began. Hopefully the in ring match itself and the power of a few good Rock promos will push through any idiocy the WWE comes up with.

The Rock isn't coming back on any schedule that would justify WWE to strap him. If WWE puts the belt on Cena before Wrestlemania then they are making a massive mistake. The outcome is pretty predictable as it is and by doing something like that they are sealing the fate of the match.

I think that the best thing for all parties involved is for Cena to turn heel during the match and use heelish tactics to win. This preserves Rock and allows WWE to experiment with John Cena as a heel. They can always turn him back quickly if everything goes to shit by having him come out and say something like "I realised that it was wrong to turn on my fanbase like that, and it was my obsession with The Rock that drove me to it. I was out of line and it's done nothing but put my career on a downward spiral, so I've decided to rise above hate and get back to being me".

Frankly they had a perfect opportunity to do a heel Cena turn during the whole Nexus incident. Instead they did that silly Juan Cena? Thing instead. If they're going to tell a proper story Cena should turn heel before the match which I think they're attempting to slowly do right now. Really though as I've stated many times before in the thread Cena is difficult to turn heel because of the way he divides the fandom. The best way to do it would be to come up with a outright heel turn along the lines of what WCW did with Hulk Hogan. Not sure creative is creative enough to come up with something original. I know we've discussed suggestions before but I doubt they would do something like this and this is why I am at the very least frustrated with them right now.

As much as Jim Cornette says it how it is in regards to wrestling, he is pretty full of himself. He's got a volatile personality that makes you wonder how he ever managed to get a job with WWE - let alone work with them for as long as he did!

I often wonder whether Cornette - if given complete booking power of one of the major promotions - could back up his claims. None of the IWC favourites like Heyman and Cornette have drawn top dollar as bookers. Heyman came pretty close in his role as Smackdown booker in 2002 and it's actually quite amazing to realise that Smackdown probably drew more in this short period that ECW did!

He makes for entertaining viewing nevertheless and he seems honest when he's giving his opinion but like most people in the business you just never know if they're telling the truth or not.

As long as Cenas "face' merchandise is selling well I dont think we will ever see a heel turn from him. When Hogan flipped he wasnt selling the red and yellow anymore and people just plain were bored with the guy. Cena is still pushing tons of merchandise out the door and his love/hate with the fans isnt an issue. If you turn him true heel and noone buys his heel stuff and you lose the young kids audience that loves him you will lose way to much money and you just cant do that, especially with ppv buys coming in at such a low level these days.
On a side note I wonder if the WWE channel will devote an hour or so everyday to doing a qvc type show to hawk the merchandise. It would give Zack Ryder something do to and kill air time.

And you know why those buys are at the lowest points ever? Because WWE management is still stuck in the late 90's when the sell rates peaked. For one, shit is expensive! $60 for three hours of crappy wrestling without any proper buildup? Specially when the same, ahem, video could be "acquired" online within minutes of airing and watched later? If they pushed down the rate to $15 or $20, and you could buy a 'live webcast' of the same show from ITunes or other online vendors (Hulu or Netflix comes to mind) you'd see a whole lot more people buy that shite.

And second, give me some good storylines and wrestling stuff damnit! WWPGE ain't working shit anymore!

So I guess Final Resolution was on last night .Jeff Hardy is your new number one contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after beating Jeff Jarret. Bobby Roode is still your World Champion after a 3-3 draw against A.J. Styles in their 30 Minute Iron Man Match. I guess they didn't want to do an over time thing like Bret and Shawn's 60 Minute Iron Man Match. James Storm defeated Kurt Angle.

I totally forgot about it I watched stephen king's Bag of Bones on A&E.

oh well we got a 3hr raw tonight.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually Linda that was abusive and had a sexual relationship with Brutus Beefcake!

At this point I don't really care, they are both guilty of something and the sooner that this whole issue is resolved - the better for the fans.

Of course, he needs the money. This is no real secret. It's a source of revenue they're willing to continue to give. This is why it's so sad really. Might catch Raw, maybe not.
