So anyone wanna take a guess what will happen on Raw tonight? The Road to Wrestlemania starts really tonight.

Damn. I'm already thinking about next year lol. Yeah good to see UT and HHH back. Months of speculation can finally end regarding Hunter. Now if only the Sting rumor gets resolved!
You know, I know wrestling is fake and they're trying to go with the storylines, but I was really bothered tonight when Michael Cole brought up Lawler's dead mother. I'm not sure even in writing if the WWE should have gone there and I think it was rather inappropriate for them to do so. Maybe Lawler agreed to it, but it still rubbed me the wrong way and went too far.
Kind of liking where things are going for WM (Even though I probably won't watch it). Taker/HHH will be a great match, and I'm even curious about Cole/Lawler. Everything else I can take or leave but it might just be a pretty good card.

Both companies can be accused of bad taste at times.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was actually Lawler's idea, since it seems to be a very old school, helps to get even more heat on Cole and give Jerry a real reason to put his job on the line for chance to get his hands on Cole.
And if you look at it the comments weren't aimed at his mom, but at him. "You let her down."

Cole doesn't need more heat. He has enough on him already lol.
So is this it for the King? Does he hang up the crown after this and leave. I know Vince wants younger people on tv and the King brings the demographic way over into the old guy range. Yet lawler consistently is the best color guy they have and I would hate to see him go. Of course I am an old guy myself.
I say he retires at the end of the year. Big fan of his color commentary. He has had some of the best one liners over the years, he's like this generations Bobby Heenan. I really do not like the idea of this HHH/Undertaker program. Doesn't make sense to me.

It doesn't make sense since as you pointed out Seamus is the one who took out HHH in the first place. I would have liked to have had a King Seamus/HHH Steel Cage match at Wrestlemania 27 maybe a King of Kings Steel Cage match or something like that. Just to have them both return on the same show and start up a random program, Shawn Micheals mentality or not doesn't make sense to me. I'm still hoping WWE signs Sting.
Agreed, and on the other side, did they end that whole Kane/Taker thing from Smackdown? I understand the need for star power, both of them coming back at random and just doing a match for shits and giggles seems a bit odd. It will be a good match, no doubt, but it doesn't really make sense in the long term.
Yeah Kane/Undertaker was UT's last program before his latest hiatus. The thing about Trips return is that it has been speculated and anticipated for months!!! PPV after PPV have passed where he's not shown up. Then he returns the same night as Undertaker does (after a lesser degree of absence) and they start a program together? Not how I would have handled Trips return, same with 'Taker. I suspect that Shawn will be involved in this somehow. They're do one more DX thing together maybe, and Shawn will be the special guest referee at Wrestlemania. This is one aspect of WM that I do not like at all. By the way I didn't mark out at either of their entrances. Hell I marked out more for "Immortals" debut in TNA than I did for these two and I have detested "Immortal" and "Fortune". TNA simply will not let old story angles and gimmicks die.
You know, I consider myself a casual WWE fan (As in if it's on and I pass the channel, I might watch, but I don't watch Smackdown very much) but ever since the Rock came back, I've been kind of really getting into it. I need to freshen up on some of these wrestling lingo such as "Marking out" and "Pop"
As for the whole Taker/HHH thing, I agree, it didn't get the rise out of me like the Rock did last week. I guess going in I knew they were coming back but last week hearing the Rocks music was one of those "Oh my god" moments that is rare on Raw these days (Even though the Match between Miz and Morrison to start the year might be one of my favorite Matches in the last 2 years on Raw). I wonder if it would have been better splitting up the returns, having one on Smackdown and the other on Raw. The one on Raw could have been HHH, and the one on Smackdown could have been Taker, and then HHH comes out and they do the staredown for a match. At least this way the impact might have been a little stronger. Either that or end Raw with both of them coming out instead of that stupid Tag Team match. Like I said, casual fan, but I wish the whole 2-21-11 thing for all the promos it received, would have been a lot stronger.

I'd consider myself a casual fan now. Mostly do to the fact that my cable isn't hooked up right now and haven't watched any of the wrestling shows on a regular basis since last fall. Basically just follow the internet news and watch bits and pieces on youtube. I do love wrestling discussion though which is why I love this thread.
Same here. With the exception of a 45 minute version of Smackdown and Superstars Wrestling is Pay TV only here, so I basically keep myself informed by reading the ( former Wrestle-)Crap forums and look up things that sound interesting on youtube.
