wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

Well they could go with Samoa Joe, but WWE has become obsessed with creating new names in order to trademark them.

I would love to see joe on raw. He would fit jn with the uso's. And don't forget that R truth came over from tna.

Yes I think we know Ron Killings came from TNA. John Cena is John Cena and it's trademarked. Samoa Joe seems trademarked enough. Maybe I'm overthinking things or think it is too simple. Vince has allowed Jericho to use Chris Jericho and just came up with the Y2J thing. Perhaps they'd come up with a new catch phrase or something to trade mark.

Just a small rant about the commentary teams. One thing they have been doing (aside from pumping their twitter stuff) is that they have been starting to recap every freaking segment like we aren't watching it. It's incredibly annoying.

Well it would appear that with his UFC retirement we can expect to see Brock make his return to the WWE sooner rather than later. I would exect the WWE would use the Rumble to gauge audience reaction to his return. I wouldnt expect Brock full time but maybe a softer schedule of a few ppvs and several raws a year.

Royal Rumble is too soon in my opinion. I think Brock will sit back and consider his options before rushing back to Vince. If he thinks it is a good business decision to return to pro wrestling then he'll do it. Otherwise I can totally foresee him just chilling with his family.

Well Icemizer you are not alone in thinking Brock could return as quickly as the Royal Rumble

So Admiral M...does our bet absolutely HAVE to include Brock Vs Stone Cold or just Brock showing up at Wrestlemania 28? Tee hee :)

Looks like we are gonna get somekind of Golddust/Cody Rhodes program...

Hypothetically speaking, If Joe signed a contract with WWE, what would be his in-ring name?

The person who comes up with the best (or worst) suggestion gets bragging rights. I'm calling the awful prefix of "The Island Warrior".
How about...The Islander.

Wasn't Smackdown fucking awful. A complete non-event.

It has to be a Brock Lesnar vs. Steve Austin match and to be fair, I'll amend that the match can happen any time between now and Wrestlemania.

There was no way in hell that Brock was going to win in his match against Alistair Overeem, I'm surprised that Lesnar has decided to retire from MMA though because he is the highest paid professional fighter in the world. If it's for his health though, I'm inclined to agree with his decision. I'm thinking a return to WWE this year is very likely if Dana White agrees to let him go. Remember, Lesnar is still under contract to UFC and can't do anything without permission from the company.

Brock is something of a perfectionist though and if he isn't at the top he seems to not want to bother with it. UFC could easily let him out of his remaining contract if they so desired. Fair enough about our bet. I was just teasing. Sports is amazing. You really never know what can happen though. :)

[edit] :sigh:

[edit] So it could be Jericho, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Brodus Clay or my personal favorite/guess Goldberg Monday? :p

Brodus Clay is supposed to be returning soon...I highly doubt the promos are for him though since he already had his several weeks ago. Lesnar is too early, as Admiral M rightfully stated he's still under UFC contract. My guesses are either Undertaker or the more likely Chris Jericho.

Knowing Vince and creative...we're going to have to wait all bloody show before the big reveal and it'll be anti-climatic! I still can't believe they messed up something as potentially big as Mick Foley's return by having him come out of a stupid limo. That is not how I would have written his return segment at all.

Tomorrow night is really a big game changer for me. It is gonna be the show that helps me decide to stick with WWE or ignore it until something actually freakin happens.

I think I'm at that point now. It's interesting in that the WWE almost feels cyclical to me. Right now it's down and I'm not entirely interested in what is going on. Then something happens and they suck me back in. It happened last year with the Wrestlmania build up, then the disappointment show, then the whole CM Punk thing brought me back and I would say I haven't watched a full episode of Raw since maybe November. They really do need something fresh, or a John Cena Heel Turn (How many months has this been speculated now? his entire career?) or both. Just something to say it's a new year time to do something that really will get people talking.

I think one of the things they have to do this year too is get Micheal Cole off the announce table. I know they want the whole heel announce thing, but he's damn annoying and it's run it's course.

Regarding Cole...I totally agree. Something that I've noticed over the last little while watching old WWE clips on youtube is that they've turned Cole essentially into Jonathan Coachman...except and this is no offense to Michael, the Coach had more charismatic presence than Cole does and seemed very comfortable in the heel role and not wishy washy. I wish they'd have made Cole a straight up heel announcer instead of making him a pseudo one. It's just gotten too tiresome now.

Things that could happen tonight...

*Chris Jericho returns
*The Undertaker returns
*Someone completely unexpected returns/debuts
*CM Punk loses the WWE Championship

I'm thinking that Wrestlemania 29 will be held in Toronto, if this is the case it's likely that Edge will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as the star inductee. It would be pretty lame to induct him this year when he'll be overshadowed by the likely inductees of Randy Savage and The Rock. As everyone probably knows, Wrestlemania is held in Madison Square Garden every 10 years as the first Wrestlemania was held there and MSG is considered the "spiritual home" of the WWE.

I'm still trying to work out where they are going to go in regards to Wrestlemania this year. I'm picking CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble if he should lose the title between now and then, otherwise I'm stumped. Elimination Chamber is always a hard one to pick because it varies each year with the matches being for a Wrestlemania title spot or for the world titles. It could even be that the winner of the Royal Rumble uses up their title shot prior to Wrestlemania, thereby neccessitating the need for a title shot match at Elimination Chamber.

Yes, I've seen rumours over the last few weeks that 29 could return to Toronto and if it does Edge will be an inductee and well deserved. The Rated R Superstar (marking out here) has always been one of my favourite superstars as a heel or face.

If Punk loses the title tonight to Ziggler and goes on another chase...no matter who returns tonight I'm done. Sick of this cat and mouse routine creative likes to make their faces do who are over. It's difficult to work out Wrestlemania because frankly I don't think creative knows exactly what to do. As I've said and yes I keep harking on it because i'm really sick and tired, they're all over the place and have zero focus. I've seen opinion pieces blaming the talent and the lack of depth. That might be one reason but frankly I put the sole amount of blame on creative's lack of vision, total reliance on safe booking, and inability to be bold. I've ranted enough but yeah tonight is going to be interesting for sure.

I also think that that Jericho has been using social media in kayfabe mode in order to create "disinformation" or confusion and build up heat for himself. It's the only plausible explanation to me that makes sense regarding his behaviour in recent months. Jericho also tweeted that he thinks Lesnar took a dive in his UFC match and he thought that the fight was a joke. He also said that the mystery man in the It Begins promos is Brock LOL.

Shawn Michaels reveals his contract status with the WWE which seems quite interesting and unique.

EDIT: I really hate what has happened to Awesome Truth...Miz is doing nothing right now except jobbing it seems but I love R-Truth! LOL

Well Jericho is back without actually saying a word to the audience and it seems that he's a fully blown face once again. It will be interesting to see what kind of character Jericho will be portraying in this latest run with the company.

I'm wondering if the much rumoured match at Wrestlemania between Jericho and CM Punk will take place after all.

The crowd reaction was funny as hell. I think they were expecting Undertaker lol Jericho should have got a much larger pop than he got and I felt bad he had to work the crowd up. Sigh. So that wasn't anti-climatic or awkward. Some were booing at the end of the segment. I just don't know right now.

WTF kind of ending was that? My overall reaction to Raw? More of the same...so it gets a meh. The promos certainly hinted at a heel style but Chris was acting like a face. I wouldn't be surprised if he cut a really nasty heel promo next week. Something along the lines of "I've been gone for two or three years, and that was the response I got from you people?" I can't think of anything better but similar to his Y2J heel turn promo where he just ripped into us!!
