wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

Interesting opening segment. Another promo this time interrupting the program...nWo style. The End Begins next Monday. Could this finally be the return of the nWo? Is is a revamped and totally repackaged Chris Jericho? Undertaker returning with Michelle McCool? I have absolutely no idea.

I actually stopped watching after the opening segment. Chicago is always a hot crowd and gives heavy heat to the heels. R-Truth is back!!!!

yep, and mark henry got screwed out of a possible rematch. how underhanded do you have to be in a guantlet match. I mean come on first jack, he loses acts like a big baby, dolph tries to capitalize on it with vickie and then vickie interfears bringing john down to interfear more. and dolph gets a shot at cm next week. that's just fubr.

kane's up next.

It continually amazes me that you make such a big deal over the actions and reactions of the heels. Dude this is why I keep calling you a mark because you act like one! It was obvious John L would cause Punk to lose. He is one of the biggest heels in the company right now. Swagger acting like an over grown baby is his gimmick. That's what he does to get heat. Same with Ziggler acting like a goof. It's not really a big deal. That's just how they act to get over with the crowd. I know you've said in the past that this bugs you...of course it bugs you. It's supposed to bug you. That's why they're heels.

Looking like a Cena heel turn is inevitable.

I'd like Dolph to win the title. I mean, obviously he won't, but I'd like it. If nothing else it at least cements him as a top level performer now.

The one thing I will say is that in parts of that promo I swear I could hear a little Paul Bearer in him. Just a touch. I find it incredibly weird that they seem to be using Kane to turn Cena heel. I don't think the two of them have any real history or previous beef.

I think the new Kane character is just what Glen Jacobs needs after being stuck so long in the same concrete upper mid card role. I hope that WWE just doesn't feed him to Cena and leave him to gather dust in the same upper mid card position when they've got an intriguing and genuinely quite scary character! The trouble is...

Kane and Cena will have a match where Kane will dominate throughout and win the match. The following weeks will be all about Cena gathering momentum for the rematch where Cena will overcome the odds and take the win - leading into his match with The Rock at Wrestlemania. The entire program will do nothing for Kane if it goes this way because everyone knows that Cena needs to go into Wrestlemania strong. The only way that WWE thinks they can do this is by having Cena defeat Kane clean and perhaps even dominate him.

Here's how I'd book it...

Kane and Cena have a match where Kane dominates and takes the win by stoppage after he applies his new choke submission. The key here being "stoppage", since Cena doesn't quit, his refusal to give up will make Kane look like a killer and keep the Cena character true to it's roots. The following weeks will revolve around Cena trying to get his momentum back and finding a way to conquer Kane. Cena will insinuate that he cannot pin or submit Kane and that the only way he can overcome the monster is to pull out all the stops - a last man standing match. Cena will win this match in some fashion, perhaps similar to how Chris Jericho defeated Kane at Armageddon 2000.

There isn't much difference in the predictable WWE booking and mine, but mine serves to make Kane look unstoppable, whilst preserving the Cena character. Since Kane won't be defeated conventially, they could carry on an undefeated streak for months - unless Kane is matched against Undertaker at Wrestlemania of course. Following the series with Cena, Kane could go on to match or even best his Royal Rumble elimination record before being eliminated by the person that WWE has chosen for Kane to face at Wrestlemania.

Of course, WWE could actually TURN John Cena heel by aligning him with Kane. The chances of this happening are pretty slim...

I seriously doubt this is going to be a program for the entirety of the first quarter of the year. Fans would lose interest pretty damn quick. I don't even like the use of Kane with Cena. I see maybe one match out of this entire program, solely designed to turn Cena heel. I just am dumbfounded with what creative has been putting out lately. Let's see:

-The conspiracy angle has turned into a program featuring Punk and John L which is fine but ultimately a lame rehash of Vince/Stone Cold. John L has a ton of heat right now which stems from the fact that we don't really care or want to see him. We've seen Vince's stooges before on screen. They're boring and only really are designed to bring Vince back.

-Triple H is still CEO...he just defeated his former best friend in a "brutal" Sledgehammer Match. Shouldn't he be concentrating on regaining power and authority within the company? So yeah this part of the angle has trailed off

-The Miz and R-Truth are now feuding. The Awesome Truth was first introduced as part of the conspiracy angle. Obviously Killings testing positive derailed whatever creative's plans were for these two. I thought they would be the new "Outsiders" and be the forebearers of a new new world order or some kind of new heel stable. Yeah didn't happen.

-Ortunga's machinations and Vicki's potential heel stable? WTF happened to this? Christian has been gone. Ziggler is the new number one contender and Jack Swagger is basically doing nothing at all except the occasional jobbing.

-We have the mysterious "The End Begins" promos. Something or someone is returning next Monday. Fans and dirtsheets have speculated that it is either Jericho or Undertaker. "Everything is supposed to change" when this person returns. I highly doubt that since we've been promised "change" several times this year.

-Cena sucks. Then again that is nothing new. Kane is back. The two will fight. Cena will most likely turn heel just in time for his match with Rock in April...kind of unnecessary since he'll most likely be considered the heel by the crowd in MIAMI the Rock's hometown anyway. Sigh.

-To a lesser degree the Divas are being ignored.

-Alberto Del Rio has an injury that will keep him out until the Royal Rumble at the end of next month. Reports recently have stated he is in the dog house along with Miz. Both of these superstars have been mis-booked and handled poorly in my opinion. Del Rio is a two time WWE Champion for crying out loud and both his reigns had almost zero impact. I think the Miz was on the cusp of being one of the company's greatest heels earlier in the year until the decision to have him drop the title to Cena was made. I think all of you guys know my feelings on Miz by now.

These are all the Raw major happenings. Smackdown is meh. I don't care really.

FTFY (sorry, couldn't resist )

I've just been reading that WWE has signed a CZW Academy student to a developmental deal. It got me thinking that WWE could do with bringing in some well established wrestlers that the audience would embrace - in one way or another - rather than continuing to sign unknowns, humilate them and spend months building them up in the most painfully slow ways possible. Here are five people that WWE should sign...

Samoa Joe - He's not doing anything in TNA and would very quickly catch the attention of those unfamiliar with him - through his wrestling ability and in-ring psychology.

Sara Del Rey - She ranks among the best female wrestlers in the world and female wrestling is something WWE really needs to make a stronger effort with.

Brent Albright - An incredible all round talent that WWE gave up on in 2006 following his graduation from developmental. Would be an asset for the company these days though.

Jon Andersen - Has spent time honing his skills in NJPW, has that insane physique that WWE loves.

PAC - Incredible athlete, smaller wrestler but someone the crowd would get behind like they did with Daniel Bryan.

Yeah, Joe is still under contract to TNA but I don't see that being the case much longer if they continue to use him in the way they have done for the past couple of years.

I've always wondered if Joe would actually be a star in WWE. One of the things I did like about TNA is how they turned guys like Joe and AJ into superstars. I fear that if Joe did sign with WWE that he'd be treated like Taz was. I happen to be a Joe fan believe it or not and think he could become a top heel or face in WWE. He'd be great on Smackdown.

Joe is good friends with both CM Punk and John Cena, he'd get a pretty decent push from the onset given that status.

OH yeah I've got all three on Twitter. It's actually pretty interesting that I see tweets occasionally between friends and people belonging to the two companies. I believe that Jericho and Joe tweet to each other pretty frequently.

Hypothetically speaking, If Joe signed a contract with WWE, what would be his in-ring name?

The person who comes up with the best (or worst) suggestion gets bragging rights. I'm calling the awful prefix of "The Island Warrior".
