wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

^ That's what I was thinking. They wouldn't have used him without giving him something. Please WWE kill this Cole as heel angle after Wrestlemania. If there is one thing that gets tiresome with WWE is that their creative team has a tendency to have programs last too long without any kind of resolution sometimes. I also notice that the WWE does a way better job at using family in angles than TNA does. I read a description of the Karen/Jeff and kids skit at Victory Road and it read just awful.

Also The Viper's wife is hot.

Just got done watching RAW from Mon. How the hell people like this Snooki become famous is beyond me.

 The Miz is AWESOME! Great Rock impersonation. :techman:

Over all it was pretty entertaining but wrestling in general is kinda meh. It definitely lacks the excitement it had during the "Attitude" era...much like people have already pointed out in this thread.

The only "wrestling" I liked last night was Shamus and Daniel Bryan. It seems on this Road to Wrestlmania, the Wrestling has taken a bit of a back seat. Kind of ironic in a way.

The current PG era of WWE has been pretty hit or miss. I loved when Brian Christopher came out to his Grand Master Sexay theme and had ZERO pop from the crowd. 90 percent of them probably didn't have a clue who the fuck he was.

I really don't understand the fan division concerning John Cena. He's widely acknowledged as one of the best workers in the business. Bret Hart recently tweeted that he'd love to work a match with him. He seems to have ring presence, and mic skills. I think maybe his wrestling ability is maybe the biggest thing fans have been critical of. I wouldn't say that I'm the hugest Cena fan but I have appreciated his work and passion for the business. I still remember when he debuted lol.

According to this Rey Mysterio asked for his release but Vince denied him.

I liked Cena back in the day...but now he is kinda meh. One thing I hate about WWE or any wrestling organization is they take forever to play stuff out and don't keep things fresh with their talent...like Cena needs a whole new act. I stopped watching wrestling a few years back and only caught up with it last month and it is pretty much the same with people like Cena.

 I dunno about that...but how many years has Cena been using his current theme music? I like the original theme music he used.

He's been using his current theme "The Time Is Now" since 2005. He's had five WWE themes. "Basic Thuganomics" surprisingly was only used for two years.

He's only got so much range. It totally shows in his movies too. Prototype to Eminems doppleganger to The Marine and now back to Eminems doppleganger. Maybe something outside of the box like feuding with Dustin Rhodes and give him a tremendous push all for the sake of using the Gold Dust gimmick.

If Josh Barnett is never able to get into the UFC, he should give US wrestling a shot instead of New Japan Pro Wrestling.

I think my favorite tag team has been either E & C or original Hart Foundation with Brett and Jim. Definitely not The Natural Disasters, Earthquake and Tugboat.

Original Hart Foundation would be in my top three all time tag teams. Interestingly enough Bret tweeted during a Q+A a week and a half ago that given the chance he would reform the Hart Foundation with Edge, Jericho, Christian, The New Hart Foundation, Natayla, and Trish Stratus. I could see that being awesome with Bret acting as a manager/mentor to them. Even on a temporary basis I think it'd be awesome sauce.

The less Bret Hart talking the better. Before his brain was scrambled he was ok but now he is getting dangerously close to Ultimate Warrior style rambling. On the other hand I would love that new Hart Foundation line up.
I think Cena might need a serious heel turn to freshen him up a bit, but I have no confidence in the current WWE writers to know how to do it.

I don't think John knows how to be a heel either. He's been a heel and the people still cheered him. When he's a face they boo him too so I don't know. Right now he's kind of a mixture of the Marine gimmick mixed with a tiny bit of Thuganomics John.

I also recall someone (I want to say Flair) saying that Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Dean Malenko should have been a reformed Four Horsemen. Can you imagine?

That would have been awesome. I remember when WCW brought Curt Henning in and did the storyline where he was offered membership into the Four Horsemen (to replace Mongo I believe) only to join the nWo which served no purpose whatsoever for Curt because he'd end up eventually being betrayed by the group. One of the biggest mistakes done with the nWo story was having Randy Savage join the group after all the things they had done with him. Same with having the Giant join right away. That was stupid since they kicked him out a few months later.

I would have had Sting turn heel and join the group though.

no bad mouthing the ultimate warrior he was one of my favorittes . ^ and admiral young thanks for the wrestling news link add to my favs . I think kurt should come back to the wwe and face jack swagger that would be awesome . as for the pg attitude era I agree it is a hit or miss and lately it has been hitting dead on I think.

I think it's doubtful that Kurt will return to the WWE. I can't remember clearly but I think he left under bad circumstances or something, there was some problem. I think he'll retire in TNA which is a shame. I don't really think he's made much of an impact there and he's been involved in a lot of stupid story lines.

I don't understand your logic here. You're saying it was a mistake for all these good guys who were some of its main opposition to join the nWo, yet you think their biggest opposition of all (basically the leader of their opposing forces) should have joined them? :wtf:

I agree that one of the reasons the nWo got stale was because so many people set up as their adversaries eventually joined them. Sting would have only made it worse. He, along with Goldberg, Diamond Dallas Page, and Ric Flair was one of the main nWo enemies who didn't join them eventually and he was better for it.

For me the most disappointing defection was Bret Hart. When Bret first came into WCW, he and Flair were set up as friends who would team up against the nWo, then Bret Hart joined the nWo and his WCW career went nowhere.

I was really excited at the prospect of Bret and Hogan feuding and then headlining Starrcade (Bischoff even said in an interview that he expected both of them to make a lot of money together at the end of the year). What a waste making Bret just another guy and diluting the nWo further by adding him to its ranks instead. I guess Hogan just wasn't willing to put Bret over (again) after the Wrestlemania IX fiasco.
