wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

WWE is releasing a DVD on the entire Bret Hart Vs Shawn Michaels feud on Oct 25. I think this is the one that Bret and Shawn sat down together and did commentaries/interviews for. This is not the career retrospective DVD Hart tweeted about a few weeks ago. I'll probably be picking this up.

Here are a few details...

The working title for the two-disc Blu-ray and three-disc DVD is simply Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart, and will be released on October 25th in North America. Here’s the synopsis:

“For more than a decade, Bret “Hit Man” Hart and Shawn Michaels engaged in perhaps the most storied rivalry in the history of sports entertainment, from their teams (the Hart Foundation and the Rockers), through battles for the Intercontinental Championship and the richest prize in the business, the WWE Championship.
Their enmity spilled out of the ring, and led to the most infamous incident in the history of professional wrestling, The Montreal Screwjob. More than a decade later, the two men buried the hatchet as both are now WWE Hall of Famers.
Now, for the first time ever, the two sit down together and rehash their intertwined destinies in Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart. These new, never-before-aired, interviews will shed new light and insight on controversies fans have speculated about for years.”

I took that off the wrestlenewz website.

It's part of a new DVD series called "WWE's Greatest Rivalries". A Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs The Rock set is coming as well.

My opinion The Miz should still be WWE Champion. Sigh.

Agreed.

I also agree with Captain M's thoughts on Cena. This is a time when WWE doesn't need to rely on him quite so much, and I hope sincerely they take advantage of that.

I definitely think Punk is going to over at SS. I will be incredibly surprised if he doesn't.

The problem with Punk as champ is not in the ring or on the mic, its all the other jobs the champion had to do these days. TV appearances, public appearances, hand shaking, and baby kissing, and on and on are just not in Punks demeanor to do. After listening to the podcast up above I really cant see him being allowed to keep the title for very long just because he is not the type of person who can or even wants to do everything else that needs to be done. Punk wants to wrestle and give the best he has in the ring. Everything else I dont think matters to him. However today those things need to matter if you want to hold the top spot.

Its worth point out that also in that vein that DBD is Mr. Money in the Bank... course, he's more likely to kiss hands and shake babies... or the other way around.

There are some plans in place, as mentioned by many of the dirtsheets to have Alberto Del Rio as WWE Champion by the time WWE does their autumn tour of Latin America. The reasoning is obviously to boost popularity, the hope is that with Del Rio as champion when they record their tv tapings in Mexico, it will attract sell out crowds and further increase WWE's massive Mexican audience.

Del Rio is pretty big in Mexico as it is. As the son of Dos Caras Sr and nephew of Mil Mascaras (both of whom are of similar renown to the likes of Hulk Hogan in Mexico), Del Rio is the natural choice to be face of the WWE at that point in time.

Heres what I think should happen (if I was in charge of booking) in the next few months...

At Summerslam, Punk defeats Cena to become Undisputed WWE Champion following a highly competitive match akin to their superior bout at MITB. Cena will offer a handshake following the match and just before Punk gets a chance to shake his hand, Alberto Del Rio's music hits and he comes out with the MITB briefcase. This gives us a what if? scenario for all we know Cena could have given Punk the AA or Punk could have given Cena the GTS during the handshake, but instead Del Rio hits the ring and both men throw him back out.

On the RAW following Summerslam, Cena and Miz pin each other (or some screwy finish) in the number 1 contenders match for Night Of Champions. Therefore the match becomes a triple threat. Also on RAW, Del Rio announces his intention to cash in later on after Punk has his first defence against whomever. Following the match where Punk retains, Del Rio comes out with the MITB briefcase, only to be stopped by both Cena and Miz who come out to the ring and Punk, Cena and Miz all have a small brawl that ends with Punk standing tall.

At Night Of Champions, the triple threat match would go ahead as planned and following some stunt that takes all three men out, Del Rio comes out quickly to the ring without his entrance music. Del Rio covers Punk and the referee counts the three, Del Rio then makes a swift exit with the WWE Championship. The next night on Raw, Triple H will scold all three men and declare that the number 1 contenders spot is up for grabs elsewhere, Rey Mysterio will win the number 1 contenders spot and will feud with Alberto del Rio during WWE's tour of Mexico. Meanwhile, Punk, Cena and Miz will continue to feud with Cena acting as the classic face, Punk as the Austin type face and Miz as the heel. At Survivor Series either Del Rio will retain (depending how his run has gone as champion) or someone else will win the title.

By Royal Rumble (Elimination Chamber at the latest), Cena will have regained the WWE Championship in time for his match against The Rock at Wrestlemania.

ETA: The Royal Rumble is a difficult one, since its pretty much a lock that Cena will be going to Wrestlemania as WWE Champion, it means that the winner of the RR match must be a Smackdown superstar. Daniel Bryan has already voice his intention to cash in at Wrestlemania, so for that reason I reckon the WHC match at Wrestlemania will be a triple threat, featuring Daniel Bryan, the WHC and the RR winner.

I can see that but I can still see daniel bryan winning the RR and still have the mintb.
all so I can see ray getting his rematch just pryor to summerslam and alberto del rio tries yet agin to either screws rey or pulls back just like last time. he's just not the oppertunist that edge was. I am hoping impact will be good tonight or at least better than last week.ss

^Looks good, but I have only one small quibble. Rey never gets his re-match against Cena?

The re-match clause is only brought up for storyline purposes. Thats the thing about pro wrestling, its an "as and when needed" organisation that doesn't work on continunity. I suppose Rey Mysterio could get his rematch prior to Summerslam though.

I'd hate to work for WWE Creative. I've heard some horror stories and it seems that a lot of the management team are "yes men" who will do what is necessary to appease Vince and his sometimes questionable decisions.

Try to take what you hear from Matthew Randazzo with a grain of salt. He's a professional wrestling columnist and writer, but he's also a real crime and investigative writer. The majority of his stuff on the McMahon family has been pretty acidic and one sided. It seems like he goes to the likes of Nailz for his research!

I use to like Kurt Angle in the WWE...but now... :nyah:

I do wish Sting would come to WWE before it is too late. :sigh:

It is wishful thinking unfortunately. The contract offer that he received earlier this year as Captain M mentioned and I speculated on several times was very lucrative and mindful of his accomplishments and he rejected it based on being worried how Vince would promote his image. I believe he signed a three year deal with WC---errr Impact Wrestling and he will most likely retire when it expires in 2014.

I agree with Jetfire, I liked Kurt Angle much better in WWE than the last few years in Impact Wrestling. He's done some okay things here. That reminds me...is Chnya still around or was that experiment dropped?
