wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

^And let Jericho return. Who better than the 1st unified champion to take the next shot. Jericho vs Punk would be great both promo wise and in ring. Punk as face, Jericho as heel and let the gamesmenship begin.

It's not a matter of "letting" Chris return. It's more DOES Chris want to return. He gave interviews prior to Wrestlemania saying that basically if they need me they can call me so I would be shocked to see Jericho any time soon. In fact I'd be shocked if we saw him at all this year.

now that would be awesome if chris return's for anyone who thinks they are the undisputed champion. summerslam maybe better than wrestlemania. I all so wondered why vince never took the wcw ppv's into there line up?

Trips has said he is pretty much done wrestling right now and will only do if asked (much like his Wrestlemania match against the Undertaker when they couldn't sign Sting). So I very much doubt we will see him in any key title match...but then again the Rock is in the main event right ;) So who knows.

Indeed. I just see it being very possible that Triple H would get involved in a one-time big Wrestlemania showdown in order to put over Punk.

Great story about Punk/HBK. I've never really been a fan of the whole Straight Edge thing, but that's never really been an issue with my perception of Punk as one of the guys I really hope the company will build itself around. I don't think he's the second coming of wrestling-Jesus (as some do), but there's no denying how critical I believe he is to the WWE over the next decade.

Looks like I was right but they're doing it for Summer Slam. Slam Wrestling yesterday reported that John Cena Vs CM Punk has been booked for the main event to determine the Undisputed WWE Champion! If WWE is smart...they'll let Punk win.
As if they'd let Cena lose two PPVs in a row

True. Cena is in need of some rest, he's apparently injured. They seem to refuse to take him off television for any significant time though.

It could be pretty effective to have Punk win the Undisputed WWE title, moreso, I think than having Cena win. ymmv.

Yeah, I really don't see Jericho coming back anytime soon. But, he seemed pretty excited about the top of the PWI 500 announcment via twitter. I, myself was shocked.

That nonsense is all trickle down and pour down from Vince and his big man strategy. Sure that worked before tv and even after tv came into the home, you know when the screen was 12-17 inches in size. Yes Big guys worked better in an arena or on a small tv but today with glorious HD and giant 70"+ sets to watch on that no longer matters. Poor Vince never could grow beyond this outdated fixture on big guys and many wrestlers have suffered for it over the years. Glad HBK(whos character I have always hated) stood up for him, letting the dinosaurs in the room know that Punk had "it" and that it should be developed.

well smackdown sounds like it'll be a fun show. I am hoping that impact wrestling will get its ass into gear and do somethings right for a change.

I'm hoping that CM Punk will go over in the "undisputed title" match. It serves nothing to have Cena come out on top and continue as the king of the WWE. Cena is now an 11 time champion and its got to the stage where him winning a World Championship is seen with little or no credit.

CM Punk going over opens up more possibilities as far as I'm concerned. A while back they were trying to make Randy Orton into the new "Steve Austin" but that hit a brick wall and in my opinion CM Punk is the ideal person for this role. CM Punk as an anti-authoritarian figure who can also wrestle to a world class standard is a golden package for WWE. Never before have they had a guy who can cut Rock style promos (and sometimes better) and also wrestle to the aforementioned world class standard with virtually any opponent.

Cena needs a serious gimmick revamp and whilst everyone is saying this (its true), its not really about turning him heel. WWE will not do this whilst Cena continues to sell merchandise, despite the overwhelming staleness that the "clean cut, overcome the odds good guy" brings in this day and age. Whilst Cena is a genuinely nice guy who works harder than most on the roster, including donating a lot of his free time to charity organisations, WWE can not depend on Cena to always do their outreach work. They need to balance it amongst their, by taking their most reliable and "clean cut" stars and having them as the faces of their organisation.

The more time Cena is spending as an active wrestler and on screen personality, the more burnt out and injury prone he is getting. Cena has not had a break from WWE in 3 years (and that was due to injury). Giving Cena time off to heal whilst continuing his charity and WWE promotion work will guarantee Cena remains a popular figure and at the same time give him a chance to recharge the batteries and maybe work on developing his character. It will also free up room at the top to build other stars.

thanks for that interview that was great.....

cm punk is awesome and I totally forgot he used that music in ROH.

Here is every active wrestler on the WWE roster who has held either the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship (or both). Out of these few, only 2 (Cena and Orton) have remained permanent main event fixtures from their first title reigns.

John Cena (2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 9 time WWE Champion)
CM Punk (3 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WWE Champion)
Jack Swagger (1 time World Heavyweight Champion)
Randy Orton (2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 6 time WWE Champion)
Rey Mysterio (2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WWE Champion)
The Miz (1 time WWE Champion)
Christian (2 time World Heavyweight Champion)
Kane (1 time World Heavyweight Champion, 1 time WWE Champion)
Dolph Ziggler (technically a 1 time World Heavyweight Champion)
The Big Show (2 time WWE Champion)
The Great Khali (1 time World Heavyweight Champion)
Sheamus (2 time WWE Champion)

in my opinion rey should still be wwe champ he got screwed. I like john and cm punk and the match and fued between rey and cm rocked.
