You know it's possible that I could go really crazy again if I am upset even slightly! I therefore am asking all TNG fans to finally accept that Ds9 is the better Trek show! It's the only way to make sure my sanity, remains intact! Therefore I am calling on all TNG fans to renouce TNG and finally accept Ds9 as the oviously superior show.

I'm not sure they are comparable. TNG is an entire series of largely self-sufficient episodes and scattered, unrelated story archs. DS9 is an epic storyline with episodes highly dependent on dedicated knowledge and backstory. It's like comparing "24" to "Seinfeld."

It's allowable for people to still enjoy TNG. They simply have to accept Ds9 is better, more so than they have to accept that TNG isn't a good show.

As far as I'm concerned, all Trek is just one big show, so I don't express a favorite.

If pinned down, though, I'd have to say TNG is better. It focuses more on the core concept of Trek; and the war storyline in DS9, though very well done, I found inappropriate for a Trek show (plus that's where the ships and uniforms and so forth started to get all gray and boring).

Sorry, Jayson. But it was nice to see your sense of humor return before I drove you back into madness.

Exxcept that 24 and Seinfeld weren't both Star Trek shows that were produced back to back sharing members of the cast and crew, and respecting each other's continuity.

So it's really not like comparing 24 to Seinfeld at all

Good to see you back Jason. I don't have a favourite show, just favourite episodes from TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise. I haven't seen TOS for about 30 years so can't remember any of it.

But I do like "Voyager" and I think I might like it better than "TNG" or I think I might like there characters better. Granted "TNG" was looking better than I recalled. I asume this will all be figured out when i get done with my ultimate trek marathon that I started but haven't finshed as of yet.

my boyfriend used a simpler method for getting me to like DS9. Showed me mental Sisko on dvd.....I was sold at that point
