I didn't say it was evidence, just that something might be happening.
"Might" isn't information, just wishful thinking.

Training simulation in the Academy series.I'm still betting we never see that set used on screen ever again. I mean..... where could they even use it?
It is. It's also speculation. This is a discussion board. Where we speculate all the time."Might" isn't information, just wishful thinking.
You know what? That's actually a good idea.Training simulation in the Academy series.

At what point did I say it tipped the scale?I just don't see how quoting Kurtzman's totally noncommittal comments tips the scale by any amount whatsoever.
Yeah, because the final 2 episodes of PICARD got into the top 10 of all Streaming for the weeks they dropped. Then they saw that MORE episodes of Strange New Worlds ALSO got into the top 10 of Streaming for the weeks they dropped. Not an official thing that's been announced.
However, straight of out Alex Kurtzman's mouth on October 14th, 2023:
Alex Kurtzman Gives ‘Section 31’ And ‘Academy’ Updates, Teases “Exciting” New Star Trek Projects – TrekMovie.com
“I have to say, our friends at Paramount Plus have been unbelievable, truly unbelievable. They have supported all of these shows in the most extraordinary ways. I will tease that I did meet with everybody at the top this week. And there’s a bunch of new things now in the works, which is really, really exciting. So there’s no shortage of support from Paramount Plus for the Star Trek universe.”
Also what he said earlier on April 24th, 2023:
"Fans Heard Loud And Clear" About Star Trek: Legacy, Says Executive Producer (screenrant.com)
At the Television Academy screening of Star Trek: Picard's season 3 finale in Los Angeles, Alex Kurtzman was interviewed by Fox LA's Elex Michaelson, who brought up the growing fan outcry for Star Trek: Legacy. Read what Kurtzman said in response:
"Anything is possible. We’ve heard the fans loud and clear. There’s obviously more story to tell. So, we’ll see."
I agree, actually. If it happens, I also think it would either be after SNW, or fast-tracked if SFA doesn't do well. Unless they go the mini-series route.Yeah, because the final 2 episodes of PICARD got into the top 10 of all Streaming for the weeks they dropped. Then they saw that MORE episodes of Strange New Worlds ALSO got into the top 10 of Streaming for the weeks they dropped.
Result - TBTP probably felt that yes, A LOT of TNG fans wanted to see the final adventure of the assembled TNG cast, but going forward Legacy probably WOULDN'T see all TNG cast ,members assembled again - or worse, set up another 'Nemesis' like situation where fans don't like something done to one or more of the TNG characters...
Bottom Line: While yes, there may be some fan interest if/when legacy TNG cast members are involved. With a current in production Streaming Trek series (SNW) seeing the same/more consistent streaming ratings...no real rush to get 'Legacy' going RIGHT NOW as it were.
PICARD ended at 3 seasons because that was all Patrick Stewart wanted to do. MAYBE they'll do a streaming TNG movie with him at some point (if he's still alive), but even that might be iffy because yes, while he always says 'I'm interested..."<--- Actors rarely give a hard 'No' - hell even Patrick Stewart was swayed to do 3 seasons of PICARD, and even said his initial intention was to give a polite 'no'.); again the studio doesn't want a repeat of a 'Nemesis' situation leaving fans dissatisfied again.
IF they do it, it'll be after either after SNW ends its entire run, or the new SFA series fails out of the gate; but yeah at this point, they don't see a pressing need to rush back into a post-PICARD 'Legacy' series.
Let the hype train for Section 31, Starfleet Academy and Star Trek Legacy start rolling again!![]()
You would have a point if we didn't just come off a strike and the costs of Legacy and other projects are about to go up.Umm speculation is what message boards are all about. If all we posted is "news", forums would be pretty boring. And this speculation (Legacy) it is based on something that at least seems plausible.
As long as its not being presented as confirmed news, nothing wrong discussing it as a *possibility.*
It seems those objecting to this being discussed as a possibility are the ones who do rot really seemed too thrilled by the idea or concept.
But maybe I'm wrong here. And yeah, All that speculation of a Pike series during Season 2 of Discovery was pointless fan generated chatter and "baseless":.......oh wait a sec .
You would have a point if we didn't just come off a strike and the costs of Legacy and other projects are about to go up.
Discovery Season 2 is not a good measuring stick.
Wow...that was...not what I said at all. What? so we should not discuss the possibly of future shows at all? She we just shut down the Future of Trek forum?
And not what I said either.Kurtzman saying they are exciting new projects should be ignored until we know if the Strike screwed things up?
Wow...that was...not what I said at all.
And not what I said either.
So, you want to try again with what I actually said, please?![]()
Let's start here."You would have a point if.."
You would have a point if all was equal as it was in Season 2. So, no I will not use that as a measuring stick. But maybe I'm wrong here. And yeah, All that speculation of a Pike series during Season 2 of Discovery was pointless fan generated chatter and "baseless":.......oh wait a sec .

The natural discussion point is Kurtzman's comments. Not that Season 2 of Discovery led to SNW. Circumstances have changed so I will lean towards Legacy as possible but not a guarantee, and all of this is pointless fan blather because we don't have all the facts.
How did we start saying it was wrong. The quote you highlighted was my entire post. Not just the Kurtzman section at the end. Since you highlighted my entire posit, I assumed you meant my point as being there's noting wrong in discussing possibilities of Legacy being a possibility.
That being said. you just said Legacy is a possibility and not a guarantee. That ALL we are saying and no I don't think the fact the strike happened all of sudden makes this "pointless fan blather because we don't have all the facts". As I said speculation (talking about things where you dont have all the facts) is by definition part of what message forums do.
If "legitimate " Trek news sites like Trekmovie are discussing Legacy as a possibility, then there's nothing wrong for fan forums to engage in those same discussions
