I had this incredibly Jerry Springer moment the other night where I was certain that Marie and Walt were going to hook up.
I'm in the middle of Season 4 right now, and I have to say... it seems as if Walt is going out of his way to piss Gus off. Near the end of three, it seemed Walt was kind of doing some blundering that was grating on Gus, but now I'm convinced that he's becoming so arrogant that he's deliberately pushing Gus.
Giancarlo Esposito has a great way of looking like a total nerd then doing something totally badass out of the blue. The smile during the hit comes to mind, as does a scene involving a boxcutter. The scene with the boxcutter, though, was pretty interesting as it reminded me of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, the way he calmly came in, changed, did the deed, then changed back. This dude needs more work (and I mean more mainstream work, and not just S.W.A.T. direct-to-DVD movies). His Gus ranks up there in the top 5 villains with Darth Sidious and Agent Smith for me.

Gus is awesome. Giancarlo Esposito was nominated for an Emmy for season 4, and he deserves it. (Even more than Aaron Paul, if that's possible.)
Started watching this show just a week or two ago. Awesome describes it perfectly. Wife & I are now midway though season 2 and are completely hooked. The writing and acting is beyond just about every show we've watched to date. Having Netflix is allowing us to marathon watch (3 - 4 episodes a night) which really helps give this show a grander feel, more like a mainstream, tentpole movie. Can't wait to watch more tonight!

Started watching the show 2 weeks ago online. I'd only seen the pilot episode a few years back and lost track of it all. In 2 weeks, I've watched every single episode up to the most current which aired last Sunday. I just got through with it.
As if the very last shot of the season 4 finale on Walter's patio wasn't enough to make my lower jaw detach, the last scene of this most recent ep--season 5, episode 3.....is Walter fucking kidding with that shit?

Did Walter actually threaten Jessie with the little "story" about whatshisname that Gus killed ? All because Jesse had an opinion about the money????? Please tell me he was threatening Mike. Jesse is literally the only decent person in Walt's life who gives a damn about him. His son won't once he finds out what Walter really is. Tell me Walter hasn't gotten *that* depraved. Isn't poisoning a child enough? And how did he get those lily of the valley berries to Brock? He never went inside.
