Would you watch this cast in a weekly series?

Before anyone chimes in telling me it would never happen, I realize that. This is more of a hypothetical question. Also, I wasn't sure where to put this, seeing that it deals wit the nuTrek cast I thought here was appropriate, but if not, hey move it to wherever.

This is something that I've thought about since I saw the movie all those years ago, would I watch this cast in a weekly series? And of course my answer is: probably.

I think it would be interesting to revisit the TOS universe in a weekly series again.

Also YES I would watch this cast in a weekly series. I would watch any Trek cast but I would watch THIS cast in a state of fevered joy.

Mostly because I can't see some members of the cast signing up for a tv show.

I'm not so sure just because I think the transition from movie pace to TV pace is different. I think a lot of people would expect the same pacing every episode (assuming the next 2 movies have similar pacing) and they wouldn't be able to deliver it.

Would I like another series with this group of characters? Definetly.

No. I'm just not sure the Abramsverse and its' actors are a good fit for TV. YMMV.

Would I like another series with this group of characters? Definetly.

I agree. A different ship, same time line, with a different crew. Maybe tie it in by having the movie cast drop by for a guest appearance or two to tie it all in.

I would as well. I think it would allow them to tone down their performances a bit and I think the universe would benefit for it. I mean, I was happy with them, but when you have two hours to kind of prove yourselves, you have to stick to the tropes. In many ways they were caricatures of the TOS cast (not in a bad way). Hour long episodes every week would allow them to have a more nuanced portrayal.
