Would we ever see Sequels set in TMP era?

I can't remeber where, but i saw a book cover where Spock's TWOK uni was green, and an other was blue. I always thought that would be cool. Make 'em all blue!
I know it may not happen, but I'd like to see this "era" explored, as I said before. Looks like New Voyages will come close, but the movies?
It's amazing to think that the whole era is now skewed because Decker refused to wear his Fleet issued Banana Hammock!
Damn him.

DOORMEN IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE !

Just look at Shatner in that one Prineline ad where he's dressed as a Doorman, looks just like the TWOK & on films uniforms, sorry, someone had to say it yanno.....

The only redeeming feature of the TWOK uniforms over the TMP ones is that they were more forgiving of the aging and (in some cases) expanding cast members. I don't know that the TMP unis would have still looked good on some of Our Heroes by 1991.

The TWOK trousers had four-inch wide bands of elastic sewn into the waists - essentially, girdles.

You're thinking of the ST novel, "Yesterday's Son", which was set during the years after the 5YM but came out just after ST II, so they used an image of Spock in the latest uniform, but coloured it blue so that people expecting a 5YM story would still pick it up.

The age of geriatric space adventurers is past us, I think.

Are you sure? Did you see the final season of Stargate?

Bits and pieces of it, but it's still a far cry from The Undiscovered Country. But I can say this: I don't think we'll see elderly characters from the classic Star Trek series gallivanting around the galaxy. By the time Quinto's pushing the age Nimoy is now, Spock would have been recast at least once - assuming the franchise still lives.

There's going to be a big demand to include magnifying lenses in the design.

With the new trailer coming out, maybe they have decided to use the refit version anyway.naaahhh...

but still: "Aircraft wing" Nacelles?

Lord help us all.

Hmmm. Footie pajamas and sterile, lifeless charcaters?

[Ren & Stimpy Horse]"No sir. I don't like it,"[/Ren & Stimpy Horse].

Thank goodness for Bennett and Meyer.

Hope Not.
a series set in super late 23rd century or early 24t hcentiury would work.
the origina lseries cast fims pretty much palyed out teh TMp-Twok era.
maybe a trek miniseries set in te hyears fater Tmp would work. TMP costumes were terrible.

For Star Trek Zero they will have to go further with the Enterprise model than even Star Trek Legacy's and Adam Turner's updates.

ie They must top the TMP refit.

Take a bow Vektor. :applause:

So, if there are movies set between TOS and TWOK. The TMP refit will be changed. Take a bow Gabe. :applause:

Change the uniforms! Tidbit: Shatner wanted to add dress uniforms to Star Trek V The Final Frontier.

He already had them. Heck, even the comix adaptation of The Ashes to Eden admitted the TWOK uniforms were the dress uniforms. The department color collar was changed to black. That's it.

Base the new uniforms off of the Zero ones.
