Would anyone watch a Torchwood prequel?

One with the two Victorian ladies could be good. Steam punkish and you could have Jack and the Silurian pop up from time to time.

That would be awesome.

I'd also like to see Torchwood 2, run by a peculiar Scottish man (who someone speculated was actually the 7th Doctor in disguise).

Dunno about that... Torchwood was pretty anti-alien in its heyday. Vastra as an occasional consultant, perhaps, if you could convince the people who wrote the Torchwood charter NOT to dissect her...

But the Silurians aren't aliens -- they're from Earth, aren't they?

Speaking of, I've always wanted to see a Doctor Who story set on Earth in the distant past during the Silurian age.

^^Yes... without having to "Make Peace with the Humans" and get SLAUGHTERED.........sorry........ calm now:alienblush:

Anyways yea, to see them at the height of their Era would be most awesome. We could even watch them prepare for their long sleep, if the Producer(s) doesn't want to give us full height of their Era. :bolian::bolian: (Two Cyber Thumbs Up)

It really seems to me that this is something Torchwood should have already addressed within the show itself.

I likely wouldn't watch a prequel. Hell, I'm not even watching Miracle Day. I gave up after episode three.

Perhaps, if it was done without Barrowman, and condensed to a five-part mini series like CoE then I'd give it a chance.

They could do a mini-series about a recurring problem/alien menace that keeps popping up and Torchwood keeps having to deal with it. That way you could have modern day (with Gwen & the rest), the Victorian age (with Vastra/Jenny), WWI or WWII (with whomever) and the 70's (with UNIT).

And Jack could be the the thing that ties it all together since he could be a part of every era.
