Worst tos episode

Alternative Factor bores me to tears.

It had some interesting possibilities : parallel universe, matter/antimatter, time travel, etc. However, the script and direction seemed to be out of sync or lost in space. Plus seeing Lazarus fall down multiple times was just too hysterical.

I'm interjecting some science here: 160 pounds of antimatter meeting 160 pounds of matter has about the energy of roughly 4 x 10 to the 18th power in Joules. Planet destroying? Potentially. Ending everything everywhere? Nah. The Trek Science Advisor must have called in sick that day. A common Type 1 Supernova creates 10 to the 42nd power in Joules and they happen constantly.

I could see that if the Lazerii were to touch in a universe (as opposed to that in-between place) it would create a mighty explosion, but why should it destroy the entrire universe?
This is not the episode to be asking well thought out questions about.

Amazing possibilities. As evidenced by the fact that the last scene between Kirk and er, Lazarus lands at all. But every possibility was squandered.

Mentally insert the Wilhelm Scream when he falls, it makes it even better!

I wanted to edit my comment to add that if the both of them underwent Mutual Assured Destruction, it would be about the equivalent of 4 Tsar Bombas (see attached YT). Does TTBBS offer an edit feature?

I still enjoy the episode.

I was wondering this exact thing. Good stuff.

And after further thought, I'm not sure the MAD would consume every molecule and anti-molecule because it still takes place on our dimension and (to me, anyway) the effects of being in an atmosphere and subject to gravitational pull while existing in unsymmetrical shapes shaped like humanz would alter the completeness of the explosion, like a block of the explosive wrapped around a plutonium core being slightly out of place.

And they exchanged blows, so why didn't they blow up then??

Isn't it ludicrous we're putting more thought into it than the scriptwriter
