I absolutely hated what are little girls made of it just made no sense whatsoever and was just another episode of someone falling for kirk and then dying
Plato's Stepchildren. Painful to watch skilled actors demean their talent.

I’m gonna be honest I don’t actually mind Plato’s step stepchildren

Spock's Brain

I believe you have it backwards. In the second pilot "Where No Man Has Gone Before" and in "Mudd's Women," the ship used "lithium crystals." "The Alternative Factor" was the first episode to introduce the fictional element "dilithium," which is mentioned all of seven times in the dialogue.Never mind that "dilithium", which was used prior to this, magically becomes "lithium" for this one-time spectacle of what amounts to "sheep dip in spaaaaace".

The kids dug Spock in the 60s. He was cool. The Way to Eden is just painful to watch. The space hippies are a cliche. The extended musical numbers stop whatever meager plot there is cold. Kirk comes off as weirdly stodgy and I don't really buy Spock as someone who "reaches" the space hippies.
Just finished the episode, Andrea was in love Korby. Kirk did his confuse a computer bit on her. Might be the first time.I absolutely hated what are little girls made of it just made no sense whatsoever and was just another episode of someone falling for kirk and then dying
Just rewatched "Mudd's Women" and "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" MW's old fashion sexism ( even for the 60s) it pretty bad.

Even worse than that is the ending of The Enemy Within where Spock implies Rand enjoyed being sexually assaulted by Evil Kirk... with a goddamn smirk on his face. The whole way the episode handles Rand is embarrassing, regardless of the historical context of the 60's.Just rewatched "Mudd's Women" and "What Are Little Girls Made Of?" I watched it for the first time in 1971, not long past the time of the hippies and it was cliche and dated even then. Now? Ugh.
