That depends. Is your first name America?

NO indication that she still pined for him? In TMP she postively GUSHES when he comes on board. In the book, Spock makes a sarcastic internal comment to himself about her desperation to sleep with him. YES, Gene did this because that's how he saw women.
re: the Americans debate. It's hardly a case of USA citizens being arrogant, when the rest of the world is constantly using the word "Americans" to describe people from USA, and only people from USA.

Thank you. It's good to see someone with your credentials address this.
They never gave the reasons, but it suggested women must have been too emotional, frail or something.
Another stereotype is the sexy, but kick ass, martial arts using female. Seven, Kira, Dax....
Hey! Can you go back to Star Trek?
So much for the stereotype that Star Trek fans are open to ideas other than their own.
There was that one episode from the animated series.all-female team
Oh I don't know, threads around here often change over time. The principal subject swinging widely.Hey! Can you go back to Star Trek?
Picard encounters a species that informs him that he isn't really from the UFP, and instead should announce he is from the Milky Way Galaxy. This would have made a good TOS episode. Name it Blasphmy.

I've never been called a conservative before. Feels odd. I might have to take a shower or something,
Yes, many Trek fans are a bit wary of change and are closed minded. We're also very anal retentive and slaves to miniscule insignificant details. That being said, Picard is from the United Federation of Planets!!!!!!!![]()

I'm not wholly convinced that we can label martial arts using tough gals as a gender stereotype since all (TNG) military and starfleet officers would be given training in this area. It's more of a case that in TOS most of the blokes got to roughhouse but only two of the yeomen were shown to have anything coming close to that level of skill.
Picard: We are from the Federation.Or more accurately:
I'm a independent Libertarian-anarchist ... maybe I'll just wash my hands.I've never been called a conservative before. Feels odd. I might have to take a shower or something
