Worst movie titles?

Grosse Pointe Blank
I Heart Huckabees

I think those are very stupid titles.

The Beaver

Kind of, you know...

Live Free or Die Hard

Sigh...

I know what you did last summer and I still know whar you did last summer.

Yes, thank you. If you know it now you probably will know it for the rest of your life. And honestly, I don't care what you know anyway.

As far as movies we're actually supposed to take seriously, I hate to give a kick to one of my favorite movie franchises, but the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" has a title that I just consider silly. Apparently it too was the result of a typo somewhere (it was supposed to be Tomorrow Never Lies, which isn't much better). The problem with the title is it's meaningless, even taking into account "Tomorrow" being a newspaper featured in the film.
Tomorrow Never Lies would have been a good title. And I don't like Die Another Day either. Too Bond-generic.

But Carver's paper, Tomorrow, did lie, all the time. :p

It's basically cheating to invoke Ed Wood but I'll throw out Glen or Glenda?

Also, FWIW, I think The Phantom Menace is a pretty bad ass title. I think some people are letting the fact that the movie itself was unspeakably shitty color their perceptions of it.

The Happening.

I know it's old-school proper but I don't know anyone who uses it like that anymore unless they have a poor vocabulary to begin with.

^^ Which one: 2008 or 1967?

(There’s also a 2005 Spanish animated short and a 1991 British comedy-variety show by that name, but I don’t think they count.)

"Happening" has a very Sixties vibe to it, I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would use that for the title of a movie in 2008, but then again, Shyamalan may not be in his right mind. On the plus side, the title did inspire this mashup.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch.
What did that have to do with the plot of the movie?

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers
It's the fifth film and he's only getting revenge now? Strange thing, but the subtitle does not appear on screen in the film, but only on the box art.

Halloween: Resurrection
Makes no sense since Michael didn't die in the previous movie (or any previous movie for that matter), so no resurrection actually takes place. This series, of all horror series, should be the last one to have the word "resurrection" in it.

Jaws: The Revenge
No comment.

Amityville: It's About Time
About time to stop watching this series of movies.

Star Trek: Insurrection
Nothing wrong with the movie, but where was the insurrection?

The insurrection was Picard and his crew rebelling against his orders from Starfleet. It was a personal insurrection not a political one.

Yeah. I thought that was kinda obvious. However a more catchy title might have been Star Trek: Rebellion or something, despite how cliche it sounds. At least Star Trek: Insurrection makes you think a little.

How can tomorrow never die if you can die another day?

It's easy, if you only live twice . . . .

Seriously, I don't like TOMORROW NEVER DIES because the correct title just won't stick in my head. Is it "never dies" or "never lies". . .? I can never remember. I always have to look it up.
