Darmok is definitely one of the best episodes of TNG ever. One of the best in all of Trek even. It gets to the heart of the themes I enjoy in Star Trek.

I like The Empath too. I wasn't crazy about it at first, but over time it's grown on me. A solid, enjoyable episode.

Just as a point of interest, checking my records it looks like The Empath only received 6 nominations (compared to ATCSL's 49 in the same round), and Darmok only received 1 (in the same round Inner Light received 1 vote, which just goes to show how one man's treasure is another's trash).

Code of Honor. Awful. I hadn't read that the cast wanted it removed from syndication.

I kind of like Threshold in a Ed Wood way. It's worth it just to watch Tom Paris's tongue fall out in sickbay.

I voted for the TOS entry. I like the fight scene in "Code of Honor," the eye candy in LHWIWS, Ray Walston in "The Fight," the montage and the sequel novel for "These are the Voyages...," and all of "The Magicks of Megas-Tu."

My picks for worst episodes of each series would likely differ.

I wouldn't have picked any of those bad episodes, I'd go with something else, but "The Fight" was blatant pandering, IMHO.

Blatant pandering? Are you sure you're not thinking of "Tsunkatse" (the wrestling episode featuring The Rock)? Or am I missing something?

I'm one of those odd ducks that actually kind of likes "The Fight". The episode was poorly executed, but the premise had potential.

Anyway, of the episodes listed, my vote goes to "Code of Honor".

Yay! TATV is winning! :D

That was just such a gut-wrenchingly supefluous smack in the face to the fans - the ones who stuck with Trek till the bitter end, yet - and coming at the end of a decent season of ENT at long last - I cannot fathom how any episode could be worse. TATV broke out of the confines of stinking up a mere one hour to stink up the memories of literally YEARS of Trek. It is an epic achievement in the annals of suckatude whose infamy will endure until the actual 22nd C!

If I have anything to say about it. ;)

And I hate to say it, but if TATV wins this poll, then all of this has been a huge waste of time. The poll is worst episode, not most disappointing episode. TATV is an average Trek episode on a good day, but it is not nearly as inept as the other episodes on that list.

I have to agree with that. It was definitely the most disappointing episode, but I can't call it even close to the worst.

My vote went to Children. The rest I can all find something to enjoy (well, I haven't seen the TAS episode), and even Code of Honor, while embarrassing and borderline racist is at least well-paced and pretty well-acted for an early TNG ep.

I've never seen TAS, but all those other episodes cited are dreadful.

Mutara Nebula; I think that The Empath and Darmok are amongst the BEST ST episodes.

I will have to go with And The Children Shall Lead. Just terrible. But Code of Honor is a close second.

Trust me, it's an insult to.... oh, everyone with a brain.

Brain and Brain, what is brain? Oh wait, that's not on the list :p

BTW, TATV is easily the worst finale, imo, but it's far from the worst episode (I don't even consider it the worst episode of season 4 of Enterprise).

A couple of months ago, I set out on a quest to determine the TrekBBS's least favorite episode in all of televised Star Trek. To that end, I conducted a series of polls in each series' forum. The episodes those forums voted as their least favorites for are included in the list. Amongst these options, please select your LEAST favorite. The episode receiving the most votes will be named TrekBBS's least favorite.

My thanks to all who have participated in this poll series.

I went with CODE OF HONOR. It was absolutely stupid, and showed why Roddenberry was past his prime by even allowing that crap to be produced.

Isn't everybody forgetting "Spectre of the Gun". How bad was THAT!

And how about "The Savage Curtain" or "Cat's Paw". My GOD!!!

But each of those three have SOMETHING about them I can watch..

Spectre of the Gun...I actually like the end of the show. How Spock is able to get into each of their minds and convince them the fight isn't real...not bad.

Cat's Paw..the only thing about the episode I like is watching the expession on Spock's face when they are being 'scared' off by the witches. Nimoy really is good there..

Savage Curtain...ummm, okay. Not much about this turkey is good. But it does come from Season Three, and all of Season Three gets a mulligan!

Now Code of Honor? That episode is so bad because it had been, what, 20 years since TOS died? And Code of Honor was supposed to show how far the writing/Fx/Acting had come in that time? Sorry, no way. The acting in that episode, from Picard on down, was awful. The FX, what little there were, were still clunky. In fact, those flybys in the first season of TNG are NOT as good as the flybys from TOS, IMO. And the writing? Ugghhh. Code of Honor makes Spock's Brain look cerebral, pardon the pun!

I know I'm in the minority, but "Spectre of the Gun" is a favorite of mine. I love the sets and surreal feel of the episode. "Catspaw" got a lot of votes in the TOS Season Two poll (although not enough to beat "The Omega Glory"). Personally, I like that one too, but I understand why some people don't like it.

"The Savage Curtain" is kind of mediocre. It doesn't really bother me, but I'm not crazy about it either.
