I get the idea that a TATV win would be a farce because people just hate it because they hate it...but I really do think it's the worst episode, perhaps not as an hour of t.v. that I saw, my only hour of Trek or something, but the character assasination, lame plotting and dialog, the silly way worked Trip's death played out (really, I don't care that he's dead, it's the way they did it), no one's been promoted or left the ship in all those years--it's a crap episode.
But the poll is about the worst episode in a series, not the worst episode as a teleplay or whatever.
In a lot of ways the poll's not going to settle much anyway. TOS is of another time. It might have been better to have the worst episode of modern Trek instead. I'm just not sure it's fair to compare TOS with the rest.
Maybe I do regret my TATV vote a bit and wish I'd voted Code of Honor...but it's apples and oranges, this poll.
1960s show vs. early show in which series hasn't jelled yet vs. 3 mid-to-late season shows when the series were running out of ideas.

What we need is 7 polls instead of one--
have a poll for all the season 1 worst eps for each series
season 2
season 3, etc.
Then you could really compare who was strongest out of the gate, who was strongest at the end, who had a weak center. That's a whole lot of polls though!
