After a brief hiatus, the quest to determine the worst episode in all of Trek continues! Fortunately I've been saving the results. The top five vote getters from the previous round are included . Vote for your LEAST favorite. Let the voting begin!

I had to stick with Shades of Gray. The fact that it's a clip show doesn't bother me as much as the really, really bad framing device.

"Shades Of Grey" will win. This was such an un-show. I usually skip it.

I went for The Royale, which is the only one I physically can't sit through.

I like The Child, Okona has it's moments, Up the Long Ladder is offensively bad but at least moves along quickly (since it's basically 3 separate episodes crammed into one), and Shades of Grey makes me laugh.

Shades Of Grey. Star Trek should be above the cliche of a lame clip show; The Menagerie aside, since they didn't know at the time that it would eventually get it's own official release.

I don't know. I hate "Shades Of Grey" as much as the next guy. But I'm not of the opinion that a clipshow must be bad per se. There are several sitcom clipshows I enjoyed for example. I just think that this is a particulary bad clipshow. The choice of clips is really questionable. Additionally I think it was just too early in the series to do something like this.

Shades of Gray is nowhere near as bad as people make out.

The Outrageous Okona is terrible. Just terrible.

The Royale. It seemed like another excuse to get the TNG show into "contemporary" clothing and sets to key into the non-fan crowd.

Easily "Up the Long Ladder", by far the most offensively stupid piece of tripe to ever bear the label of a Star Trek episode.

I really wanted to vote for "Shades of Gray" but "Up The Long Ladder" really offended me on a level "Shades of Gray" did not. It wasn't just the ridiculous and insulting stereotypes, the whole cloning bit with Riker and Pulaski was unbelievably stupid. Just because those people were clones, doesn't mean they deserved to be murdered in cold blood. Also how could clones of Riker and Pulaski be fully grown and the exact same age that they are? Wouldn't they have had to been cloned babies at least? I didn't understand that, but they probably made them fully grown because having Riker and Pulaski shoot their little cloned babies would have caused more unbelievable outrage. :p

Very difficult to pick just one. All of these episodes are just wretched. It kills me not to pick Up the Long Ladder, but I can't not vote for Shades of Gray.

Shade of Grey, hands down. A /clip/ show? Damn the WGA strike back then. :) They ran out of Phase II scripts and were forced to do a clip show for Pulaski's last hurrah.
