A surprisingly easy decision: "The Alternative Factor". It has an incredibly bad guest star, a story that doesn't make any sense and is just pointless.

I liked Omega Glory. it's not great but a lot of the episode is good. the hated ending isn't that terrible......cheesy, but fun.

I vote childen over the Alternative Factor only because Alternative Factor had a good ending.

Star Trek and kids have never worked well. And this episode is one of, if not the, worst offender.

Of those three, "The Omega Glory." I can't bring myself to vote for "The Alternative Factor," because, even though it sucks, the first season of TOS had a groovy atmosphere that no following season in the franchise could ever bring back. "And the Children..." is just annoying. But "The Omega Glory" is so good for the first two-thirds that the ending angers me so much I can't re-watch it.

"And the Children Shall Lead" is in my bottom 10 with the Alternative Factor running buddy in the group. Actually, I have Omega Glory pretty high on my list for its thinking factor, fight scences and Big 3 interplay.

Had to go with "And the Children Shall Lead". First, it has kids in it, which is pretty much always going to get you into trouble right away (the occasional Jake Sisko DS9 episode being maybe the only exception to this rule). Second, the lead guest star is a criminal defense attorney wearing feathers. Finally, "Hail, hail, fire and snow..." Need I say more?

"The Alternative Factor" is just, gibberish, but that's not enough to win. And I tend to let "The Omega Glory" off the hook for featuring the halfway decent composite shot of both the Enterprise and Exeter in orbit, which actually looks like they might be two different ships, rather than two copies of the exact same shot pasted together.
