After a couple of months of voting to determine the TrekBBS's least favorite episode from each season, we have now reached the end. The seven episodes that were voted worst from each season are listed - please select your LEAST favorite. The episode receiving the most votes will be named TrekBBS's least favorite episode of DS9 and will go against the least favorites from the other series to determine an overall winner (or loser, depending on how you look at it). Thanks for your participation!

The Muse for me. Though it's funny, I find none of the above episodes completely unwatchable. Guess that's what makes me a Niner. ;)

I actually liked the last three, and Meridian, but Move along home is easily the worst, here they have a decent oppertunity to see a Gamma Quadrant specties and (SHOCK) it turns out THEY ALL LOOK HUMAN OVER THERE TOO! (with a few lazy tattos and tiny alterations that are supposed to make them aliens...I know broken record but still..)
and the cast doing hopskotch? no ...just...just no!

I'm one of those rare ones who likes Move Along Home. I think it's a shame it made the list. Most of the ones on here are just lackluster and not really bad.

Profit and Lace is awful, however. A terrible episode easily deserving on the title "Worst of DS9". I can't believe Sid and Armin thought this needed to be a "dark" episode.

Profit and Lace is just slightly more unwatchable than LHWIWS, so it gets my vote.

I also still like Move Along Home, have always found Sanctuary quite interesting, and see a fair bit of good in Meridian and The Muse, even if they failed on the whole. Emperor's New Cloak I'll pass on, but it has some fun moments.

The Muse

What ever drug the writers were on during the filming of that episode, I'm glad it was used only once.

I don't mind "Sanctuary" or "Profit and Lace", and "Move Along Home" is a guilty pleasure of mine.

I was torn between voting for "The Muse" and "Meridian", but decided to go with "Meridian" because while the A plot of "The Muse" is pretty lame, the B plot involving Odo and Lwaxana Troi is actually kind of good. Which is rather surprising, considering how much I normally detest Lwaxana.

I actually don't mind Meridian that much. It's a dumbed down version of Brigadoon without Gene Kelly's great dancing, true...but I don't hate it with a burning hatred or anything.

The rest of these episodes suck, IMO, and any one of them would make a worthy title-holder as the worst episode of DS9.

But in the end, I myself went with Let He Who is Without Sin....

Maybe for you guys this craptacular episode can be redeemed by Vanessa Williams and Terry in swimsuits. But for us girls? It doesn't get much worse than this piece of trash. Why Jadzia would ever want to spend another nanosecond with Worf after this episode is really beyond imagination.

I've noticed that, based on your previous posts, you really don't like all of the human looking "forehead" aliens in the Trek-verse. I'm wondering if you've ever seen the TNG episode "The Chase", though. It gives a very logical in-show answer to explain all of the "forehead" aliens. The real-world reason being an easy solution to budget constraints. That single episode made me appreciate all of the "forehead" aliens and the make-up work put into them even more.

Anyway, I voted for Let He Who Is Without Sin..., because it makes everyone look incredibly stupid.

I did see it, it provided a plausable..ish explanation.

I know the previous shows dind't have the ability to do Xindi and Thollians (NOW THEY WERE ALIENS) but at least a decent alien head would be nice...they couldn't possibly cost THAT much.

Just want to add that personally I find it more interesting when the aliens' alien-ness lies in their different cultural beliefs rather than their appearance. In the end I know all of them are just actors in costumes and make-up. What makes them stand out as aliens is their diversity.

Meridian is just too terdious and cliched. It wins for me. Even the mildly-amusing Quark story can't save it.

(^Obviously, I meant "tedious". However, "terdious" seems rather appropriate, doesn't it? I think I'll leave that typo as is.)

MAH is harmlessly goofy. I don't see why it's so loathed.

They're all really bad, but it was a dead heat between Meridian (boring) and Let he Who is Without Sin (stupid) and the second won.
