Its 130 in the morning but I’ve got write this down because I’ve never had a dream like this.
SOMEHOW Ava and I ended up in a Nazis prison camp. But it was 10 years after WWII. It’s the mid 1950s. But the camp is in America in the Fairgrounds. Its run by Germans but on the entrances its protected by Americans with machine guns who chase off trespassers. It’s disguised as a place that takes in transients and zoo animals.
Ava, being such a picky eater never eats. And when you don’t eat you get sent to this room with people wearing the black and white Auschwitz uniforms. Finally I am able to get her to eat a chicken sandwich and French fries and she gets to leave the observation room
Then there is an orangutan named Amy that decides to escape and warn the public. She makes it through a barbed wire fence and through a hive of bees to the outside and makes it to a house where Chris Rock and Don Cheadle are having a party. A man recognizes Amy as “that orangutan from the camp down the road.” People all know what is in the camp because a railroad line goes in with supplies all the time, but no one ever comes out.
So they have a guy pretend to me a mentally unstable homeless guy looking for a place to live try and sneak into the camp, but are chased off by the machine gun wielding Americans.
Eventually the children in the camp develop “prison rash” and break out in a really bad sickness. Ava gets it and starts losing serious amounts of weight, and is sick and cold all of the time. Word gets to the police and all of the children are released. But I am still stuck in the camp when I wake up to a pounding sound. We are staying the night at Erin’s parents house and the sound which I am sure is Nazis beating on the door to drag me away actually turns out to be their cat trying to open a bed room door. I walk out into the pitch black hall way and he jumps directly onto my shoulder and I about piss myself.
So now I am wide awake.
