Sounded like the IOC was the bully. The NHL wanted something in return and the IOC said no. I would want something in return too if someone asked me to stop a season for 3 weeks.

Playoffs started last night and we got some really good games. With as bad as the Sharks were lately, that was a really surprising effort against Edmonton. My confidence level rose a little bit after watching that. Huge win for them on the road in game 1.

Also, I'm watching the Bruins/Sens series because most seemed to write off this series as an easy win for the Bruins. It might be, but that was a pretty fun game last night, at least the first two periods (missed the third).

The reffing in Washington/Toronto Game 2 was some of the worst I've ever seen for both teams, but luckily it didn't damper too much of a great win.

And he probably got his first taste of getting blown out in the postseason too. I didn't think the Sharks had it in them but that was an impressive win.
