May the best team win!Nah, going to be on the opposite side of this match. I love supporting the lesser South Americans.
PARAGUAY! PARAGUAY! PARAGUAY!![]()
There we go, at least the Italians don't walk away like France did in '02. That would be embarassing, to defend your title like the French did.![]()
Yeah, it's a point of honor to us. You get a lot of criticism at home if you doing sing Fratelli d'Italia loud enough. With the absence of Turkey the Italians are clearly the World Champions of singing of the national antham.![]()
I knew the Japan - Cameroon game was a good time to go bed.Netherlands and Denmark was typical of the quality we've seen so far. Japan v Cameroon was soporific. Had me falling asleep at my desk.
It was pretty good, but I hated the fact that it rained on 90% of the matches.Euro2008 is the best Euro tournamant I've seen.
Well, the concentration of football quality is still higher in Europe and South America than elsewhere in the world and the qualification for the World Cup is somewhat political (I'm not saying that's bad though). If they invited the 32 best teams, without regards to geography, there should probably be even fewer teams from Asia, Africa and North America.Every Euro is good, though. Euro 2000 (Belgium & Netherlands) was pretty damn spectacular all the way through, especially the finale.
True. I think for further growth for New Zealand (and other Oceania nations), they should be part of Asia. It has helped the sport in a country where the FFA have to compete with 3 other codes of football (and I'm someone who doesn't care about our A-League here)
And on another note: Are the English seriously telling us their goalie was distracted by a breakup with his Canadian underwear model? Really? Seriously? God, it has to be the worst excuse ever.
